They will play two levels, one hour each, before getting their first break in the action.

The wait is over, today we kick off the 2024 WPT Poker Showdown Championship with Day 1A at 11 am in the Grand Ballroom. The $3,500 buy-in headliner has a huge $3,000,000 guaranteed prize pool and televised final table from Vegas.
Players start with 50,000 in their stacks and all levels last 60 minutes on Day 1 and 2. Levels increase to 90 minutes when 40 players remain and stay that way until six players remain. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 around 9:15 pm and players may re-enter as often as they wish during that time.

A heads-up deal was reached between the final two players and Charles Johnson was the chip leader at the time, making him the official Event 56 winner for $5,943.
