Justin Young

It was three-ways to a 8d6h2s flop and Justin Young checked from the big blind. Larry Greenberg was under the gun and checked as well before Brandon Adam bet 18,000.

Young called, Greenberg folded, and the turn came Ks. Young checked, Adams bet 48,000 and Young check-raised to 130,000. Adams called and the river was Kc.

Young quickly moved all in for 231,000 and Adams took his time. He cut out the calling chips, thought some more, and finally called.

Adams: As8s
Young: 7s5s

Adams was good with kings and eights while Youngs busted flush draw sent him to the rail in tenth place.

Brandon Adams – 1,100,000 (183 bb)
Justin Young – Eliminated

Ankush Mandavia

Ankush Mandavia was all in for 105,000 shortly after the final break and Justin Young had him in danger with a coin flip.

Mandavia: AhQc
Young: TsTc

Young was ahead and faded the Kd8c6d flop. Mandavia added a gutshot draw on the Jh turn but blanked the 5h river to go out in 13th place.

Justin Young – 315,000 (53 bb)
Ankush Mandavia – Eliminated

On the other table at the same time, Ajay Chabra eliminated Jerry Wong with Ad4h topping 7h7s. They had sent Wong out while Chabra moved over 1,000,000.

Better than one-quarter of the chips in play.

With the board reading Qs8s2c3h to the turn, Seth Davies checked from the big blind and Ajay Chabra bet 40,000. Davies check-raised to 135,000 and Chabra put him all in after a minute’s thought. Davies had approximately 130,000 behind and called.

Davies: 5s4s
Chabra: QcJc

Chabra was ahead with top pair but Davies had 15 river outs with the open-ended straight draw and flush draw. The river was Jd and Davies was eliminated.

Ajay Chabra – 790,000 (158 bb)
Seth Davies – Eliminated

A few shorter stacks are getting shovey and Justin Young took a shot when he moved all in for 80,000 from early position. The move made it around to Ankush Mandavia in the big blind and he called.

Young: 4c4h
Mandavia: KhJh

Young needed to dodge the two suited overcards for the double and the dealer did a clean board when he came 9h7c5d2dAc for his double.

Justin Young – 168,000 (34 bb)
Ankush Mandavia – 305,000 (61 bb)

High Roller: Ben Yu and Will Failla Eliminated

$25,500 High Roller (Re-Entry)
$1,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure | Payouts
Level 11: 2,000/4,000 with a 4,000 ante
Players Remaining: 16 of 40

Benjamin Yu

Shaun Deeb opened from under the gun and Barry Hutter three-bet to 24,000. Ben Yu moved all in for 87,000 from the button and Deeb shipped in over the top for 187,000. Hutter considered coming along, for a few minutes, but reluctantly released his hand.

Yu: TcTh
Deeb: QdQh

Yu was dominated in his comeback attempted and nothing on the KsJh5h6h3d could save it.

At exactly the same time, Will Failla was all in and knocked out in 17th place.

Tournament Director Tony Burns paused the clock and they are redrawing seats at the last two tables.

High Roller: James Calderaro Eliminated by Ben Yu

$25,500 High Roller (Re-Entry)

Level 11: 2,000/4,000 with a 4,000 ante
Players Remaining: 18 of 40

James Calderaro

There was a long drought of action after James Collopy was sent out but there was some over the last few minutes. Ben Yu found himself on the short stack after going to battle with Darren Elias. Yu called flop and rivers bets with the board reading Ac7s2h4s2c. Elias was good with AhKh to leave Yu with crumbs.

Then he doubled against Elias with AcKc against KdQs to get some chips back.

Soon after, James Calderaro moved all in for 45,000 and Yu moved all in behind for 60,000. The rest of the table released and Calderaro was in trouble.

Calderaro: 2h2d
Yu: TcTs

Calderaro was dominated and the Kh6c3hKc9d board could not save him.

While that hand was doing down, Marc MacDonnell was knocked off Table 78 to leave them two eliminations from a two-table redraw.

Level 10: 2,000/3,000 with a 3,000 ante
Players Remaining: 20 of 40

James Collopy

We had a quick run of knockouts as soon as action was back underway. Neither Qartomy nor James Collopy lasted long with their last-minute entry and Brian Green was another casualty.

On Collopy’s hand, he opened to 7,000 from middle position and Jonathan Little three-bet to 18,000 from the hijack. Marc MacDonnell put in a fourth bet to 46,000 from the small blind and Collopy moved all in for approximately 90,000. Little released and MacDonnell called quickly.

MacDonnell: AhAd
Collopy: AsKs

Collopy ran into a monster and the Td6d5s3hKd board could not save him.

Marc MacDonnell – 197,000
