Nipun Java

Six starting flights over three opening days followed by a long Day 2, none of them were enough to play the huge Event 1 field down to a winner. We have 12 players still in the game with a chance at the title but a lot of them have some work to do.

Nipun Java won two WSOP bracelets this summer and continues his hot streak as he returns for an extra day of poker with a huge chip lead. His 14,925,000 is nearly 5 million better than second place Mike Mehallis and half of the remaining players return with less than 20 big blinds. Java’s stack is close to 25% of the total chips in play, that’s a big lead.

Java has the advantage but it is still anyone’s game with big swings possible to get anyone back in contention.

They will soon retake their seats and get back underway. The first step is to join together at the final table then play down to a big winner.
