Stuart Krasney, Event 5 Champion

With the weekend schedule wrapped up, the new week brought a fast, fun tournament to the 2017 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open schedule. Event 5 was a $360 buy-in tournament with a turbo structure and a $100 bounty on each player’s head to juice up the action along with a single re-entry to make it a little dangerous to chase bounties.

The tournament drew 256 entries to easily surpass the $50,000 Guarantee plus the $25,600 in bounties. After everything was settled, Stuart Krasney picked up the title when his huge heads up lead gave him the biggest part of the prize pool.

The tournament quickly played down to the final table, as one would expect during the turbo tournament, and there were ten players remaining in less than eight hours. Krasney held a big chip lead at the start of final table action and watched as players dropped out a steady pace.

WSOP Circuit ring winner Alex Foxen was the most accomplished player at the final table but he dropped out in ninth place. The other players quickly dropped until Krasney was heads up with Zara Jackson.

Jackson was no stranger to success. The wife of poker pro David Jackson, she has over $250,000 in tournament cash herself including a third place finish in the Borgata Winter Poker Open kickoff event.

But Jackson was facing a huge chip deficit. Krasney held 3,000,000 of the 3,800,000 chips in play and the two began discussing a deal to chop up the remaining prize pool. Jackson earned $1,200 more than was set aside for second place with Krasney getting the win and $10,567 along with the Black Chip Bounty Turbo title.

Final table results:

1st: Stuart Krasney – $10,567 *
