ICYMI: Frankie Flowers Has a Good Day; Adam Walter Warms Up for Omaha 8 Title

Frankie Flowers on his way to a big stack

The first day of the 2019 Seminole Hard Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open was a great start to the series. It featured the first two flights of the $500,000 Guarantee Ultimate Re-Entry tournament and we awarded our first title in the one-day Limit Omaha 8 trophy event.

Flights A and B of the Ultimate Re-Entry drew exactly 900 entries to put it on an easy path to the guarantee. This tournament allows/encourages players to enter as many flights as they wish and are rewarded for advancing multiple stacks to Day 2. They’ll play their biggest and we will pay them $2,500 for the smaller stack(s).

Frankie Flowers blasted to the top of the counts early in Flight A and locked up his Day 2 return with a top five stack. Not content to sit on his big number, he entered Flight B looking to earn that $2,500 bonus then went on to run up the biggest stack of the tournament so far. The 356,000 he put aside in Flight A will be pulled from play, earning him $2,500 on the spot, and he is set with 578,500.

So far.

Flowers intends to keep playing through the weekend.

In addition to Flowers, he was joined by Jason Young, Sean Shah, Stephen Ibrahim, and David Nathaniel, Jr. as the first five players to earn a multi-stack payout.

Top ten stacks through Flight B:

  1. Frankie Flowers – 578,500
  2. Bret Grebow – 557,500
  3. Rayden Abreu – 535,500
