Level 28: 30,000/60,000 with a 10,000 ante
Players Remaining: 10 of 760

Matthew Humphrey has taken the chip lead over the course of two consecutive pots against Upeshka De Silva. In the first, Humphrey five-bet shoved preflop, drawing a quick fold from De Silva, who had been the opener/four-bettor from under the gun.

One hand later, Humphrey opened the button to 120,000, and De Silva defended his big blind. The board ran out Qs4h4cKdAd, with De Silva check-calling bets on all three streets. When he called the last bet, Humphrey showed QdQh to win the big pot with queens full.

Chip counts are hard to judge right now, so these are very approximate:

Matthew Humphrey – 6,200,000 (103 bb)
Upeshka De Silva – 2,900,000 (48 bb)

After the break, John Curcuru’s stack went up, Zoltan Czinkota’s went down, and they went at each other soon afterwards. Curcuru opened under the gun and Czinkota moved all-in.

Curcuru called with KsJs to race Czinkota’s pocket eights. The board was clean for Czinkota until Curcuru hit the Kd river to send the popular local home in 15th.

While that was going on, we lost both Neal Corcoran and Will “The Thrill” Failla from the feature table. Corcoran’s was especially brutal when he was all-in with TsTh against Matt Humphrey’s AdKc. He flopped a set on the AsKsTc board but Humphrey hit the four-out Ac river to send him to the payout desk.

Billy Pilossoph opened to 65,000 and Ben Keeline called from the cutoff. Fariborz Zojaji moved all-in from the button for 365,000 and Pilossoph stopped to think about it.

After a few minutes, he released his hand and Keeline called after getting some chatter from Zojaji.

“The pot made me call,” Keeline said. “Not you.”

Zojaji: AcKc
Keeline: JhTh

Keeline took the lead on the QsTs9h flop, Zojaji stood up after the 9s turn, then sat back down when he hit the Ad river.

“I’m still in the game!” Zojaji celebrated.
