Event 12 Flight D: Last Day to Play

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 1: 25/50

Event 12 is the final multi-day tournament on the 2016 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” schedule and this is the final day to join in. Three flights ran yesterday and drew enough players to nearly hit the $100,000 Guarantee at the halfway point.

Flights A, B, and C drew 665 entries to leave the tournament only 186 from hitting the magic six-digit number and they should get there before registration closes on Flight D. That would leave two more full flights to run the number up higher.

Each Event 12 entrant begins with a 10,000 starting stack and the tournament runs 30-minute levels from start to finish. Late registration is open for Flight D until the start of Level 7 at 2:20pm and they will play down until the end of Level 14. Survivors will bag up their chips for a Day 2 return tomorrow at 1pm.

Cards go in the air at the top of the hour and we’ll keep an eye out on Event 12 throughout the day.

  • $100,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool
  • Players begin with 10,000 in chips and 30-minute levels
  • Late registration/re-entry available until start of Level 7
  • Day 1 will end after Level 14 or Tournament Director discretion

Event 12: Jesse Cui Leads 21 Flight C Survivors

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
End of Level 14: 1,200/2,400 with a 400 ante
Players Remaining: 21 of 239

After the 14 scheduled levels of play, the third and final flight of the day for the $150 no limit hold’em re-entry event is in the books and Jesse Cui bagged the biggest stack of the flight.

Cui bagged up 281,000 and had over 100,000 more than the next closest player in the flight.

When late registration closed, there were 239 entries in the flight to bring the total field size to 665 over the first three flight. By the day’s end, only 21 survived and punched a ticket to Day 2 on Wednesday.

Flight A and flight B both had 22 players survive the day to bring the Day 2 total to 65 players.

Robertas Zebrauskis bagged 310,000 in flight B and has the chip lead heading to Day 2 thus far. Three more flights will get underway on Tuesday. The survivors of those three flights will join the 65 survivors of today’s flights for the second and final day on Wednesday.

Complete chip counts from the first three flights will be released shortly.

Event 12: Jesse Cui Eliminates A Player, Leads As Day Nears an End

Level 13: 1,000/2,000 with a 300 ante
Players Remaining: 27 of 239

Jesse Cui
Jesse Cui

It was a battle of the blinds between Jesse Cui in the small blind and the player in the big blind. They were heads-up on the turn with the board reading QdQcTsKc and Cui bet 10,000.

The big blind called and the river was the 5s. Cui bet 25,000 and the big blind quickly called, and was all in for about 13,000. Cui showed AdQs, good for trip queens and took the pot against the big blinds Kh5h.

Cui took the pot and moved over the 200,000 chip mark. He is the chip leader as the level comes to a close and there is one more level left in the night.

Jesse Cui – 206,000

Event 12: Alik Sitnyakovsky Doubles Through Eric Rivkin

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 10: 500/1,000 with a 100 ante
Players Remaining: 53 of 239

Eric Rivkin raised to 2,500 from the hijack and Alik Sitnyakovsky defended his big blind. They were heads-up to a flop of 4d3d2s and Sitnyakovsky checked.

Rivkin bet 3,500 and Sitnyakovsky raised to 10,200. Rivkin called and Sitnyakovsky moved all in dark for 12,800. The turn was the Ah and Rivkin quickly called.

Sitnyakovsky showed 7d5d, good for a wheel, and had Rivkin’s AsQs drawing dead.

The river was an irrelevant 6c, which unnecessarily improved Sitnyakovsky to a seven-high straight, and he doubled up.

Sitnyakovsky and Rivkin were tablemates in last night’s $360 no limit hold’em final table and are back at it battling in Flight C of the $150 no-limit hold’em re-entry tonight.

Sitnyakovsky finished second in last night’s $360 no-limit hold’em and Rivkin took seventh place money home.

Alik Sitnyakovsky – 51,000
Eric Rivkin – 23,000

Event 12 Flight C: Registration Closes With 239 Entries

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

Late registration and re-entry has closed for the third and final flight of the day in the $150 no limit hold’em re-entry event. Flight C attracted 239 entries and there are currently 63 players remaining with another six levels to be played before bagging and tagging chips for the night.

Flight A had 190 entries and Flight B added another 236 entries to the field. Over the first three flights, there are officially 665 entries in the event and $79,800 in the prize pool thus far. With another three flights set to kick off on Tuesday, the field is on pace to shatter the $100,000 guaranteed prizepool.

22 players survived both flight A and flight B, giving 46 players a guaranteed seat in Day 2 of this event on Wednesday.

Glen Cressman bagged the 1A chip lead with 249,000, but Robertas Zebrauskis bagged the 1B chip lead with 310,000 and has the biggest stack of the 44 players moving forward.
