$3,500 Seminole Hard Rock RRPO Championship Level 3: 75/150 with a 25 Ante Flight A Entrants: 240
The difficult Table 23 has just gotten a little difficult-er, with the addition of 2015 WSOP Main Event Champion Joe McKeehen. The Philly pro has nearly $13 million in career tournament earnings, including a deep-ish run in a Championship Event on this property in 2013.
McKeehen has taken the open seat to Jason Koon’s direct left, which puts him two to the left of the reigning Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year, David Prociak.

Wally Maddah is one the latest players to join the Championship and the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa ambassador is ready to ride a hot streak to another big score. He hit nice, twice in the two biggest fields of the series.
Maddah was part of the record-breaking Event 1 field and finished 18th out of 5,018 entrants to start off his series. He followed that up with a fouth-place finish out of 807 entrants in the $250,000 Guarantee Event 6. Maddah doesn’t have an easy table draw, facing off with SHRP team member Sheddy Siddiqui at the other end of the table.
Championship players are only a few minutes away from going on their first break of the day and we’ll take a look at the bigger stacks in the room.
$3,500 Seminole Hard Rock RRPO Championship Level 2: 75/150 Flight A Entrants: 207
Flight A of the Championship crossed over 200 entrants at the start of Level 2 and we’re climbing ever higher towards the $2 Million Guarantee.
One of the late entrants was our defending champion Jake Bazeley. He is just shy of $3.3 million in career earnings with his biggest cash coming last year when he outlasted 765 other entrants to take home the trophy. Bazeley’s third-biggest cash was also on property with a fourth-place finish at the televised WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship. He also owns a WSOP Circuit ring and his fair share of close calls for a WSOP bracelet.
$3,500 Seminole Hard Rock RRPO Championship Level 1: 50/100 Flight A Entrants: 195
There won’t be many soft spots in the Championship field but Table 23 has to deal with two bad spots in the 3 and 4 seats. David Porciak and Jason Koon have posted some impressive results in the career with some of them coming right here.
Koon has cashed for more than $5.6 million in his career and his biggest came this past August when he won the 2016 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship. He added another $125,000 to his bankroll a few days ago with a fourth-place finish in the $50,000 High Roller event.
Prociak is the reigning Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year and he kicked off his run with a second place finish in this Championship last year. He followed that up with a WSOP bracelet this summer and another SHRPO title in August.

After a few instructions to the players, Tournament Director Tony Burns issued the “shuffle up and deal” command to kick off the 2016 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” Championship.
We’re already seeing positive numbers at the start with nearly 150 entrants when cards went in the air, a significant increase from last year’s numbers.

Nine prelims are in the books and the Thanksgiving holiday break is complete. Now it’s time to get down to the business of finding our next Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” Champion.
This is the sixth year of the series and the Championship continues to grow. We have placed the Champion crown on the head of some great players with Chris Bolek, Matt Waxman, Victor Figueroa, and Farhan Madhani taking the honors. This is the third year the Championship runs with a $3,500 buy-in and last year Jake Bazeley joined that stellar group of players.
2011: Farhan Madhani 2012: Victor Figueroa 2013: Matthew Waxman 2014: Chris Bolek 2015: Jake Bazeley

They are scheduled to play ten full levels in each starting flight and those with chips will return on Day 2 for another ten levels. It will be a busy day in the ballroom and we’ll be here updating all the action.
