Marcus Stein moved all in from middle position for about 90,000 and Yigal Hen called out of the big blind.

Hen showed KsKd and was in the lead against Stein’s JsTh.

The flop was Kh9s7s, giving Hen top set, but Stein had some hope with a double gutshot straight draw. The turn ended all hope for Stein when the Kc came off to give Hen quad kings.

The river was the irrelevant 4h and Stein was eliminated in 22nd place. He earned $764 for his efforts and Hen chipped up.

Action folded to Nick Palma in the small blind, who moved all in for 44,000. Steve McKoy takes a minute to think in the big blind and Palma begins to speak up.

“Please call,” said Palma as he stood up and rubbed his hands together. “I want the action. I have him crushed.”

Palma jokingly asked for a clock and then McKoy called. Palma did have McKoy crushed with his Ac4c up against McKoy’s Qs4s.

The board ran out Jc5c2s2c3h and Palma turned the nut flush to leave McKoy drawing dead to the river.

It was a flip for Hen’s tournament life with his 2s2c up against Flowers’ AsQh. The flop was Ks7s5s, giving Flowers the nut flush draw with two live overcards.

The turn was the 8h, keeping Hen in the lead, and the river was the 5c to send the pot to Hen. Hen faded everything and earned a double up.

There was about 40,000 in the middle on a flop of As9s2s and Bill Gazes checked from the big blind. The player in the cutoff bet 20,000, which sent Gazes into the tank.

Gazes spent several minutes taking inventory of his remaining chips before moving all in for 55,000. The cutoff quickly folded and Gazes dragged the pot.

Monday afternoon presents players with a fast moving, big prize tournament to round out the day’s main schedule. Event 14 is a $360 No Limit Hold’em tournament with big starting stacks and turbo structure with a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Players sit down to 15,000 in their stack and will do the fast grind through 15-minute levels. Late registration is open until the start of Level 15 at 7pm but they are limited to only one re-entry should they be eliminated. This is a one-day tournament that will play down quickly to the next SHRPO champion.
