Aaron Massey

After registration closed on the $1,100 Freeze-Out, they quickly played down to the money bubble and into the money when 33 remained.

The players are going on a 40-minute dinner break and cards will be back in the air around 7:10 p.m. At the start of level 9, registration was closed and the field was officially 260 entrants.

The 260-entry field generated a prize pool of $252,200, which more than doubled the $100,000 guarantee. The top 33 players will take home a cash of at least $1,733 and the top spot will earn the trophy and $57,437.

While we’re waiting to roll things out in the Super High Roller, the $1,100 Freeze-Out is close to hitting its $100,000 guaranteed prize pool in the first hour of play.

With no re-entries available, the players usually hit the felt as soon as they can.

We have two big new tournaments today, both featuring different buy-ins and structures. While the $50,000 Super High Roller plays out in the meeting room across the hall, there is a $1,100 Freeze-out in the ballroom with a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Players only get one shot at moving a stack to the final table and title.

Players sit down to 12,000 stacks and tournament levels last 30 minutes from start to finish. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 4:30pm but no re-entries are allowed if their stack hits the felt. A dinner break is scheduled at 6:30pm and they will return to find our Event 16 champion.

Cards go in the air at noon and we’ll keep an eye on them as they progress through the afternoon into the evening.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood Property Update

Preparations are underway for the development of an iconic hotel tower and resort:

  • Parking – Poker players are encouraged to park in Winner’s Way Garage to access both the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown tournament space and The Poker Room
  • The Poker Room – Players may access the poker room by entering through the main lobby or via the exterior entrance on the opposite end of Winner’s Way Garage.
  • Inside hotel – Services and amenities inside the hotel will remain open along with regularly scheduled events and entertainment.
