The big buy-in bounty tournament drew 105 entries and only nine players remain for the restart today. The $1,650 Purple Chip Bounty tournament easily surpassed the $100,000 guaranteed prize pool and they played down into the money late last night.

The final table nine bagged up their chips and are ready to get back to the business of crowning a winner.

Giufang Liu is the overwhelming chip leader with 471,500 to easily outdistance Gavin O’Rourke’s second place stack of 155,000. There are still some tough players trying to chase her down with Kirk Morrison, Andre Crooks, and SHRP team member Matt Affleck around to give chase.

They’ll unbag their chips and kick back off at 2pm.

Kirk Morrison (left) and Matt Affleck (right)

Right at the tail end of Level 13, the starting field of 105 entries was trimmed to 10 players, and they’ve just redrawn for new seats around the final table. Here’s the lineup:

Seat 1: Gavin O’Rourke – 190,000 (95 bb)
Seat 2: Guifang Liu – 336,500 (168 bb)
Seat 3: Kirk Morrison – 65,000 (33 bb)

Seat 9: Carlos Guerrero – 190,000 (95 bb)
Seat 10: Andre Crooks – 63,300 (32 bb)

Seminole Hard Rock Poker’s own Matt Affleck is the first name that jumps off the page, and he has direct position on another dangerous player.

Kirk Morrison is a bit of a blast from the past, half-jokingly admitting that this is just his second tournament in the past seven years. Regardless of the actual count, he’s been essentially missing in action from the live tournament trail during that span.

Morrison’s record prior to that is outstanding, though. It includes a WSOP gold bracelet in Stud, a runner-up finish to Carlos Mortensen in the WPT World Championship, and more than $3 million in earnings.

Here are the remaining payouts for the finalists in Event 3:

1st: $31,497
2nd: $19,425
3rd: $11,655
4th: $7,613
5th: $5,880
6th: $4,830
7th: $4,095
8th: $3,570
9th: $3,150
10th: $2,783

Level 14 begins in just a few seconds, and they’ll play those 40 minutes before bagging up for the night.
