Florida’s Francis Margaglione has a knack for late-game heroics at the Seminole Hard Rock. Twice he’s carded victories during one of the last-chance events at the property’s series. The first came in Event #27 of the 2015 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open. Margaglione bested 187 entries in a $200 Turbo for $7,242. Almost exactly a year later, back at SHRPO he won a $250 Turbo besting 137 entries for $7,000.

Today’s Main Event isn’t slated to finish until Monday, the last day of the series. Margaglione is jockeying for position early and hopes to again record a late-game win in South Florida.

Niovel Chirino Alvarez started the Seminole Hard Rock WSOP Circuit in a huge way besting 1,612 entries in the $580 opener. For the efforts, Alvarez scored $135,022 along with a gold ring. With six figures fresh in his pocket, Alvarez is one of the newest entries here in the Main Event.

The Main Event of the 2017 World Series of Poker Circuit at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida begins at 12-noon. The series headliner boasts a $1,675 buy-in along with a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. In addition to six figures worth of earnings, the champion is set to head home with a WSOP Circuit gold ring and a $10,000 entry in the tour’s season-ending Global Casino Championship. There, they’ll compete for a prize pool of at least $1,000,000 along with a WSOP gold bracelet.
