THree-time Seminole Hard Rock tournament champion Evan Teitelbaum

The World Series of Poker brand is one of the strongest in the industry and its presence at the Seminole Hard Rock attracts the area’s most experienced grinders along with South Florida first-timers. Florida’s Evan Teitelbaum goes down as the former while Mark Fink is the latter.

Four-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Mark Fink

Teitelbaum claims three tournament victories at the Seminole Hard Rock including a $153,000 win during the 2015 Lucky Hearts Poker Open. In all, his earnings crack $750,000 over the course of nearly 100 reported cashes.

With $384,000 in reported earnings, Fink’s winnings come up a bit shy of Teitelbaum’s, but he’s one of the Circuit’s most accomplished players owning four gold rings. This mark’s Fink’s first visit to the Seminole Hard Rock and he’s just one tournament win away from joining an elite group of five-time Circuit champions.

Event 5: Slow and Steady

$365 No Limit Hold’em (Freeze-Out)
Level 2: 50/100 | Structure
Players: 83

The freeze-out format of today’s 11am event won’t draw the crowds of its re-entry predecessors, but the format is an important part of any Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood series schedule. With the majority of no limit hold’em tournaments across the country permitting some form of re-entry, today’s freeze-out is a step back to pure poker. Even with just one entry per person, the field has steadily climbed since kickoff about an hour ago. Late in Level 2 the player count sits at 83. We’ll take a look at some of the notables in the action shortly.
