John Gorsuch and Svi Soudai seemed to be mixing it up often early at the final table and they played another big pot after Soudai opened his button to 250,000. Gorsuch raised to 750,000 from the small blind, Dion Jagroo released his big, and Soudai called to the Kd6h5c flop.

Gorsuch bet 675,000, Soudai called, and the turn was 4s. Both players checked and Gorsuch put out 850,000. Soudai tossed in a calling chip and Gorsuch said “queens”.

He tabled QhQc and it was good enough to take the big pot against Soudai’s 7c7s.

John Gorsuch – 8,760,000 (88 bb)
Svi Soudai – 3,100,000 (31 bb)

Svi Soudai

Daniel Silva opened from the cutoff and Svi Soudai three-bet from the small blind. John Gorsuch four-bet to 2,000,000 from the big blind and Silva folded. Soudai put his stack in the middle and exposed his hand KcKs.

The problem was he had more than 2,000,000 remaining. His hand was turned back over, the floor was called, and action was on Gorsuch. Soudai’s count was 785,000 more and Gorsuch called the small raise with AcQc.

The dealer kept the board low 6c5s2h2d9d to give Soudai his double. He also earned a two-hand penalty at the five-handed final table for exposing his hand with action pending.

Svi Soudai – 5,800,000 (58 bb)
John Gorsuch – 4,900,000 (49 bb)

Stadler: As5c
Soudai: JcTh

Stadler was ahead for the double but Soudai took the lead on the KcJh5s flop. The 8h turn and 3c river were blanks for the SHRP favorite and he was gone in sixth place.

Seth Gilson

It folded around to Dion Jagroo in the small blind and he put out a stack of 100K chips, enough to cover Seth Gilson in the big blind. Gilson thought for a minute and called at risk for 1,100,000.

Jagroo: 8h8d
Gilson: As3s

Gilson needed to catch to stay in the game and the Ac5s4s flop was pretty good for his hand. The board finished Kh and Qc for Gilson’s needed double.

Dion Jagroo – 12,500,000 (125 bb)

Svi Soudai (left) versus John Gorsuch (right)

It was three-ways to a Kh8h6s flop between Daniel Silva, Svi Soudai, and John Gorsuch. Silva bet 275,000, Soudai raised the 675,000 and Gorsuch slid out a full barrel of 100K chips for 2,000,000 check/raise.

Silva folded and Soudai thought for a few minutes before he called. The turn came 3s, Soudai checked, and Gorsuch moved all in for 3,900,000.

Soudai took his time to make a decision, talked it through with Gorsuch paying him little mind, and he eventually folded the nut flush draw Ah2h face up.

“You didn’t have as many outs as you think,” Gorsuch joked with him as he showed 6h5h.

Gorsuch: AsAh
Farnan: AcJc

Gorsuch had the rockets but had to dodge the clubs and jacks for the knockout. Farnan missed the 3d turn and 9h river for another quick elimination at the final table.

Fireworks on the first hand of the day.

Jeff Keiser and Dion Jagroo were heads up to the Jh5d3c flop and Keiser bet 550,000. Jagroo called, the turn came 6d and Keiser bet 700,000. Jagroo raised to 1,700,000 and Keiser moved all in after a few minutes thought.

Jagroo snap called with his flopped monster.

Jagroo: JdJs
