Yesterday’s $1,100 WPTDeepStacks Lucky Hearts Poker Open Main Event champion, Salomon Ponte, is back in action here in Event 12. He bested 1,684 entries to earn better than $344,000 in prize money just about 24 hours ago. A 26-year-old CPA, the victory marked Ponte’s largest tournament score to date.

He’s a new entry here in today’s noon event and shares a table with Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year contender Timothy Miles.

Gustavo Moscon, who won Event 2 ($570 six-max) earlier this week, sits second in the chip counts as cards are back in the air following the first break of Event 12. Moscon holds 40,875 chips and trails the 43,575 of Michael Dubreuil. The only other player over 40,000, Peter Vitantonio, claims 43,025. Each of these players has more than quadrupled their 10,000-chip starting stack in just four levels of play.
