Jared Jaffee didn’t have much luck after his hand set versus rivered straight hand with Brian Altman and he came up short in his quest for a second WPT title.

It was three-ways to the flop and Sanjay Gehi checked first to act. Kelly Minkin bet out 285,000 and Jaffee responded with a shove for his final 1,045,000. Minkin took her time, asked for a count, and finally called with . Jaffee needed help with but couldn’t get there when it finished to go out in 10th place for $39,437.

Jon Graham was all in preflop for 1,140,000 with and Jared Jaffee had him covered with in the hole. The board was dealt and Graham doubled up to survive. Jaffee dropped to 1,150,000 after the hand.

Jared Jaffee has been battling all day but took a bit of a hit after the break. He limped from the small blind then called after Brian Altman raised to 180,000. The both checked the flop and Jaffee checked again after the turn.

Altman bet 225,000 and Jaffee called to the river. Jaffee checked once again to see Altman bet out 410,000 to get Jaffee shaking his head.

He finally called to see Altman’s running straight before he showed his flopped set . The hand moved Altman near 10,000,000 for the Championship while Jaffee was done near 2,000,000.

Bruce Kramer was riding the short stack all day long but stuck around for a bit after a few doubles. His last attempt fell short when he moved all-in after a Kelly Minkin open. She called with against Kramer’s and Minkin had a sweat after the  flop. The turn and river ended the day for Kramer in 11th place for $39,437.
