We are getting close to shutting down registration for Flight E but not before we add up some more big numbers. The combined total is now over 3,100 entries and the prize pool is up to $1.6 million. They are going to make it $2 million later this evening, lock it up.

We found a bunch of former champs in the field, including James Calderaro, Alvin Davis, and Michael Tweedlie.

Davis won the $600 Eight-Handed NLH tournament a few days ago, Michael Tweedlie crushed the $1,100 NLH live-streamed final table in August, and James Calderaro won the 2014 WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship (small asterisk since he won it up the highway in Coconut Creek but we’ll allow it).

Young was behind to start but flopped trip nines, turned a full house nines full of tens, and was paid on the river to move the 2019 WPTDeepStacks Hollywood Main Event champ to more than double starting stack.

More friends took their seats including two-time Hollywood champ Valerie Novak (most recent during the 2023 LHPO series), Luz Sanchez, and former GPI Female Player of the Year Nadya Magnus.

A few more familiar faces include David Jackson, Tampa legend Fred Paradis, LHPO Event 1 champ Scott Woodring, and Wagner Wysotchanski.

Wysotchanski could be excused if he took some time off this morning but he’s back only a few hours after he stone-cold bubbled Flight D very very early this morning.
