Multi-flight tournaments are just for no-limit hold’em anymore. Today we kick off Event 14 at 5 pm with the first of three flights for a $600 Deep Stack Pot Limit Omaha tournament with a big $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Players start with 20,000 deep stacks and all Day 1 levels last 30 minutes, increasing to 40 minutes at the start of Day 2. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 9:30 pm.

Each of the three starting flights will play down to 12.5% of the field and those who survive will return on Tuesday at 2 pm for Day 2 in the money.

After a middle position limp, Diego Fernandez moved all in for 295,000 from the button. Eddy Gibbs thought for a minute and shoved over the top from the small blind with his big stack to get folds from the big blind and the OG raiser.

Gibbs tabled AhQs and Fernandez wasn’t in a hurry to show his dominated Ac8c. The dealer ran out the 7c5s3d9dKc board to send Fernandez out and Gibbs up to 2,000,000 on the dot.

The second break came to an end and we have a new leader in the room. Lydia Waltonbaugh sits at the top with 1,595,000 to set the pace as we get deeper in the day. Boris Kravets is also moving up the charts with 1,325,000 followed by another big group just over one million.

Going a little bigger at 4 pm in the Grand Ballroom with a $1,100 Six-Max tournament that features a $100,000 guarantee and two-day structure.

Players sit down to 20K deep stacks and the first 12 levels last 30 minutes each, increasing to 40 minutes with Level 13. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 9 pm following a 45-minute dinner break.

Day 1 will end after Level 15, and survivors will return on Monday at 2 pm to find our champ.

Back out among the tables, we noticed that David Dowdy was no longer over a million and down quite a bit to 260,000. It looks like most of the damage was done by Jerry Wong (who doubled his short stack earlier) and now leads with 1,130,000.

James Calderaro is also having a good time as players drop around him and up to 897,000 as the pay jumps increase.
