“You have aces?” Locatelli asked.

He did.

Morgado: AsAh
Locatelli: QhQs

A cooler for Locatelli and Morgado won the pot when the board ran out 9h6d6c9s3s. Locatelli thought he was eliminated by Morgado was the player at risk for 8,550,000.

Event 1: Hossein Pezeshkan Doubles Through Vinny Monteiro

$400 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$1,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure | Payouts
Level 36:  250,000/500,000 with a 500,000 ante

Action folded to Vinny Monteiro on the button, he raised to 1,100,000 and the blinds called. The flop came 9s5d2d, Hossein Pezeshkan checked in the small blind, Corel Theuma checked from the big, and Monteiro continued for 1,500,000.

Pezeshka check-raised all in for 10,675,000 to get a fold from Theuma. Monteiro thought for a few minutes and called to put Pezeshka at risk.

Pezeshkan: Qd9d
Monteiro: 4d3d

Monteiro flopped an open-ended straight flush draw but Pezeshkan was ahead with the paired nine with a bigger flush draw. The Ks turn and 5c river finished the board to give Pezeshkan a huge double.

Hossein Pezeshkan – 24,150,000 (48 bb)
Vinny Monteiro – 5,250,000 (11 bb)

Michael Jagroo

In a battle of the blinds and raises, Michael Jagroo called all in at risk from the small blind, and Nicholas Carballo had him at risk.

Jagroo: 9d8d
Carballo: Ac9c

Jagroo’s hand was dominated; he caught a gutshot on the Ts6d3h turn, and an open-ended straight draw on the Js turn. He missed it all on the Ah river to go out in 13th place.

Monteiro: Qd8d
Adib: As9s

Adib was ahead but had two suited live cards to dodge. Monteiro nailed the AdKd3d when he flopped the nut flush and Adib was gone after the Jh turn and 7s river.

Event 14: Quick to the Money; Ryan Hogan Eliminated by Mor Zucker on the Bubble

$1,100 Six-Max No-Limit Hold’em (Single Re-Entry)
$100,000 Guaranteed | Structure | Payouts
Level 16:  3,000/5,000 with a 5,000 ante
Players Remaining:  33 of 262

Mor Zucker

We anticipated a long process to get this tough field into the money, but it took only 10 minutes to get there. Jake Schwartz dropped out during one of the first hands and David Meyerson followed soon after.

While Meyerson was going out, Ryan Hogan was in a big hand against Mor Zucker. Two of the big stacks coming back.

The flop was out and reading QcJs3d. Zucker bet 25,000 and Hogan min-clicked back to 50,000. Zucker moved all in with the bigger stack and Hogan contemplated for approximately 150,000.

“I’ll show if you fold,” Zucker said and that seemed to seal the deal. Hogan called, flipped over KcQh, but Zucker was ahead with AsAd.

The 5h turn and 7h river finished the board and Hogan was a surprise elimination early on Day 2 on the bubble.

Mor Zucker – 476,000 (95 bb)
