Salomon Sutton opened to 2,500 from under the gun and it folded around to the small blind. He called and Aaron Massey moved all in from the big blind for 29,200. Sutton called, the small blind released, and the hands were tabled.
Massey: Sutton:
It was a race and Massey was ahead for the double until Sutton tripped up on the flop. The turn left Massey with two outs but he blanked the river to end his day.

Action folded around to David Bradshaw in the cutoff and he moved all in for 28,000. Taylor Paur moved all in over the top from the button and the blinds released.
Bradshaw: Paur:
Bradshaw had two live cards to stay alive but missed the flop. Paur paired the turn and Bradshaw was drawing dead to an early exit.
Bradshaw was one of seven players today with a chance to catch Nathan Papp for the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year. The remaining players are Robert Mizrachi, Darryll Fish, Staffan Lind, Marsha Wolak, Glenn Becker, and WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown champ Tony Sinishtaj.

The two starting flights are complete and all survivors return today for Day 2 of the 2017 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship. The spotlight event of The Big 4 drew 887 entries with 224 players returning for some action today. They pushed the $3 million guaranteed prize pool up to $4.3 million with more than $750,000 set aside for the next SHRPO champ.
Maryland’s Diana Shirey will begin the day with the Championship chip lead and she had a good time getting there. She’s followed by Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Chance Kornuth in second with WSOP bracelet winner David Diaz, WPT SHRP Showdown final table member Shawn Nguyen, and two-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Andy Philachak rounding out the top five.
Besides Kornuth, Team SHRP is also represented by Michael Laake, Darryll Fish, and Jessica Dawley. We also have WSOP three Main Event champs coming back with Ryan Riess and Scotty Nguyen joined by reigning champ Scott Blumstein.
The schedule is to play another ten hour-long levels today, with a break every two hours, and those with chips at the end of Level 20 will return tomorrow for Day 3. They will make down to the money later today, likely near the dinner break, when only 111 players remain.
Cards go back in the air at noon and we will track them all the way down.

It didn’t take long to answer the question about when Joe McKeehen would re-enter the Championship.
He was not gone long and found himself standing at the feeder table with current WSOP Main Event champ Scott Blumstein. Both are on their last entry and Blumstein is now seated next to Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Sheddy Siddiqui.

The players are still coming in, the stacks are going up, but we are also seeing some players hit the rail.
John Racener is one player moving in the right direction. The 2010 WSOP Main Event runner-up sits with 65,000 and one of the bigger stacks in the room.
Meanwhile, in the meeting room we caught 2015 WSOP Main Event winner Joe McKeehen packing up his bag and heading out the door. McKeehen did not fire today so we expect he’ll take a breather, hit the registration desk, and come back for another chance.

During the last break, we found two players searching for a second major SHRP title.
Brian Altman began his 2015 campaign with an early title when he won the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship for more than $723,000. He followed that up with his first career WSOP Circuit ring a year later.
In November 2015, Jake Bazeley captured the Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” Championship title for over $263,000. He continues to pile up the big scores with the latest coming courtesy of a 25th place finish in the WSOP Main Event a few weeks ago.
Each owns a big SHRP trophy but wouldn’t mind adding something to their mantle.
