Championship Day 2: Schindler Stare Down Unsuccessful

$3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship
Level 20: 5,000/10,000/1,000 Ante

We got to the table with Jake Schindler facing a re-raise to 105,000 of his 50,000 raise pre-flop. Schindler was in the one seat, on the button, with his opponent to his immediate left, in the small blind, in the two seat. Schindler made the call and proceeded to lock in on his opponent without a care what the flop was, which turned out to be Th5d5s.

His opponent made a bet of 90,000 and Schindler finally glanced at the board. He made the call and again stared down his foe without looking at the 8h turn. Schindler’s opponent checked and the pro took a quick glance at the board and then put out a modest bet of 75,000. He was quickly called by his opponent.

The river was the 4d and once again Schindler glared at his opponent, who checked. Schindler continued to study his opponent and it wasn’t until about ten seconds had passed that he looked at what the river card was. He waited a few moments and then checked behind. His opponent showed a pair of queens and Schindler mucked his hand, left with approximately 320,000 in chips after losing that pot.
