$350 No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry ($150,000 Guaranteed)
Level 5: 200/400/50 Ante
Entries: 212

The clock shows an unofficial 212 players midway through Level 5 of Flight B. That puts the combined field at 454 entries and all but assures the tournament will demolish its $150,000 guarantee. Today’s player count is expected to continue its upward trend through the dinner break while tomorrow’s Flight C is projected to be the largest of the three starting days.

Neil Blumenfield

The six-figure guarantee and large field have drawn a notable number of big names. Topping them in Flight B is Neil Blumenfield. Blumenfield, recognized by his signature hat and most well known for his 3rd-place finish and $3,398,000 score in the 2015 World Series of Poker Main Event, is a regular on the Seminole felt. He’s joined by fellow South Florida regulars Zoltan Czinkota, Nancy Birnbaum and Steven Bennett.

It’s 11 a.m. local time and we’re back in action here in the Seminole Hard Rock poker room. Players are in their seats and cards are in the air as tournament director Tony Burns got things started in Flight B of the $350 buy-in, $150,000 guaranteed Deep Stack Series opening event moments ago.

Like yesterday, players began today’s Flight B with 30,000 chips. Levels are 40 minutes with a 40-minute dinner break occurring after Level 9. Day 1 wraps following Level 15 and those fortunate enough to bag and tag return Sunday at noon local time. Late registration and unlimited re-entry are available until cards go in the air for Day 2.
