Josef Shertzer was the first to eye up the possible $500 bonus for ending the day as the chipleader when he scooped a 400,000 pot from David Baker. His was good against when the flop came . Shertzer was unable to maintain his lead and finished the day with 371,000.

Andrew Graham was the next closest and thought he had the $500 locked up when he bagged 374,500. He was good until Daren Stabinski pulled in the last few pots to be the first player in the tournament to finish the day over 400,000.
