In the first hand of hand-for-hand play on the Money Bubble, there were three all-in-and-call situations.

The first one was a double-up. (Sorry, no details.)

In the second one, Richard Smith raised under the gun, the player on the button moved all in for 45,000, and Smith called with 6c3c. His opponent turned over KcQh, and needed his hand to hold to stay alive.

The flop came 8s3s3h, giving Smith a huge lead with trip threes. The short stack failed to catch up on the turn and river, and was eliminated from Flight C.

Richard Smith  –  345,000  (69 bb)

In the third and final all-in hand, Robert Capote was all in from UTG+1 with AsKs, and he needed to improve to stay alive against the big blind’s QsQc.

The board came 7d3c2cKc8d, and Capote paired his king on the turn to win the pot and double up in chips.

Robert Capote  –  191,000  (38 bb)

So with one elimination, there are 79 players who have bagged up chips for Day 2, which begins Sunday at 1:00 pm. Everyone who advances will finish in the money, though the prizepool won’t be announced until after registration closes in Flight F tomorrow night.
