Event 5: Day 1 is Done, On to Day 2

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

After six shortened starting flights, Day 1 of the $150,000 Guaranteed Event 5 is finally done.  The total number of entries across all six flights is 2,154* for a total unofficial prize pool of $258,480 — more than a quarter of a million dollars!

There were 240* players lucky enough to bag chips at the end of their flights and they will return at 1pm Wednesday for the finale.

The overall chip lead belongs to Dinh Nguyen, who bagged 442,000 in Flight B.  Second in chips is TJ Shulman, who kicked off Flight A with a bang and bagged 411,000.  Neil Moskalenko is a distant third with 298,000, which he bagged up at the end of Flight F.

Day 2 will get underway at 1pm Wednesday with 14:48 remaining in Level 15 (blinds 1,500/3,000/500 ante).  Starting with level 16, levels will increase to 40 minutes in duration.  The average stack is about 108k or about 36 big blinds.
