Any SHRP High Roller event is a big deal when its day rolls around. Yesterday we had 40 entries in the $25,500 buy-in tournament to put an even $1,000,000 up for grabs.

Their day lasted nearly 12 hours and still have some work to do today. There are seven players returning for Day 2 but only six of them will walk away with some money.

High-stakes specialist Brandon Adams comes back to the final table with a nice chip lead followed by Ajay Chabra. Those two hold the majority of chips but no one is in the danger zone. The average stack is 57 big blinds and the final table will play 60-minute levels until heads-up play.

All seven return to the Event Center at 2pm and we will have all the action until we have a High Roller Champion.

Final table lineup:

Seat 1: Barry Hutter – 373,000 (37 bb)

David “Coldstone” Inselberg was short and at risk for his final 130,000 against Dennis Stevermer.

Inselberg: Ad9s
Stevermer: Jh9h

Inselberg was in fine shape for his needed double and faded the TdTs4c flop. All was fine on the 5h turn but Stevermer spiked the Jc river to send “Coldstone” out.

Kevin Ho stands in defeat

There was heads-up action between Kevin Ho and Kobi Ribak in a three-bet pot. The flop fell KhQdTs with Ho first to act under the gun and Ribak in position on the button. They got the last of Ho’s roughly 110,000 chips in the middle with Ho having the best of it.

Ho: KsTh for two pair
Ribak: AhKd

Turn and river: Ac6h

Ribak improved to a better two pair on the river to bust Ho.

Kobi Ribak – 400,000
Kevin Ho – Eliminated

Kathy Liebert

Action folded to Kathy Liebert on the button and she moved all in for 74,000. The small blind released and Brian England called from the big.

England: Qc5c
Liebert: 6h6s

Liebert was in good shape for a needed double but England paired his overcard on the Qd7s5h flop. The Ts turn was no help and one of the most successful female poker players in history was eliminated after the Tc river.

Brian England – 1,270,000 (106 bb)
Kathy Liebert – Eliminated in 77th place ($8,762)
