Event 8: Mike Miguel Takes Early Lead

$360 Six-Max No Limit Hold’em (Single Re-Entry)
Structure Sheet
Level 5: 100/200 with a 25 ante
Total Entries: 47

Mike Miguel

The Six-Max field went on their first break of the day and the field count is nearing 50 with four more levels worth of play before registration closes down. The single re-entry seems to be slowing people down and the action is moving at a deliberate pace.

Mike Miguel made a big jump in the first two hours, running his 10,000 starting stack up to 45,000 during that time.

Top stacks:

Mike Miguel – 45,000 (225 bb)
Ismail Patel – 28,000 (140 bb)
Rafael Reis – 23,000 (115 bb)
Jordan Hudgens – 19,800 (99 bb)
Sam Baumgardner – 19,000 (95 bb)

Event 6 Day 1C: $200K and Counting

$570 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$250,000 Guarantee | Structure
Level 6: 200/400 with a 50 ante
Flight C Entries: 144

Josias Santos

The prize pool has climbed over $200,000 on its way to hitting the $250,000 Guarantee. Event 6 is going to get there, the question now is whether it will happen in this flight or early in the last one.

Josias Santos is one of the recent entries to push the numbers higher. The Florida pro could hit $500,000 in career earnings with a deep run in this tournament and he could add another trophy on top of his 2017 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown $1,650 Purple Chip Bounty title.

Event 6 Day 1C: Julio Abreu Leads After Break

$570 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$250,000 Guarantee | Structure
Level 5: 150/300 with a 50 ante
Flight C Entries: 135

Julio Abreu

Flight C players are back from their first break of the day with 135 entries in so far. That puts this flight on pace to top the first two and the tournament is less than 100 entries away from crossing the $250,000 Guarantee.

Julio Abreu was the big mover over the first four level and Zach Mullennix joined him as the only other player over 50,000. We’ll see if anyone can catch either one over the next ten levels.

Top stacks:

Julio Abreu – 55,000 (183 bb)
Zach Mullennix – 52,000 (173 bb)
Dmitry Savelyev – 45,000 (150 bb)
Chris Nomikos – 43,700 (146 bb)
Brian Guzman – 40,000 (133 bb)
Jeff Turton – 40,000 (133 bb)
Nigel Murray – 38,500 (128 bb)
Jeffrey Soffer – 36,475 (122 bb)
John Strzemp – 36,000 (120 bb)
Juan Rodriguez – 35,000 (117 bb)

Event 8: Plenty of Room

$360 Six-Max No Limit Hold’em (Single Re-Entry)
Structure Sheet
Level 2: 50/100
Total Entries: 32

Solange Lucas

The Six-Max event is cruising right along and sitting with 32 entries near the end of the first hour. There’s plenty of time for players to make their way down to the meeting room for some short-handed action. With only six players at a table, they have plenty of room to spread out and make themselves comfortable.

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa poker ambassador Wally Maddah was entry number 30 and he joined Rafael Reis, James Salmon, and Solange Lucas among the others already mixing it up.

Event 6 Day 1C: Scott Back; Stein Roller Coastering

$570 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
$250,000 Guarantee | Structure
Level 3: 75/150
Flight C Entries: 90

Jacquelyn Scott

It took a little while to shake off the cobwebs on a Tuesday morning but Flight C is finally seeing a steady run of entrants into the game.

Former WSOP Ladies Event champion Jacquelyn Scott is back with us and ready to find a bag later this evening. We also found SHRP regular Marcus Stein getting his chips in early.

“It’s gone quick today,” he told us.

Stein was all in for his last 4,600 in Level 3 and found a caller for a double or re-entry. He was ahead with KcTc against the live 9d7d then took command on the KhJs6c flop. The Qh turn and Jd river were good enough for the double but he still has some work to do to get back to a starting stack.

Event 8: Short-Handed Hold’em

$360 Six-Max No Limit Hold’em (Single Re-Entry)
Structure Sheet

Event 8 is about ready to roll out in the meeting room and a nice, quick-paced tournament for those already bagged up in Event 6.

The tournament plays a six-max format with a $360 buy-in and single re-entry option if they bust their stack before registration closes.

They will start off with 10,000 stacks and the tournament will run 30-minute levels. Late registration is open until the start of Level 9 at 4:30pm but players only have that one re-entry. There is a dinner break schedule for 6:30pm and the one-day trophy event will continue until we have a champion.

Two Trophies and Two Starting Flights on Day 6 of RRPO

It was a busy day in the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood tournament room on Monday evening.

There were two players who took home some hardware and two starting flights that played to completion. Francois Zayas won the $360 ultimate re-entry event in a seven-way chop. Zayas took home $107,973 for his efforts.

The other trophy won on Monday was by David Shmuel in the $360 pot limit Omaha 8-or-better event. He chopped heads-up with Jeff Duvall. Shmuel won $7,152 and the trophy.

While the first multi-flight re-entry event of the series wrapped up, the second kicked off. There were two flights of the $570 no-limit hold’em re-entry event. Day 1A kicked off at 11 a.m. and it drew 145 players, while Day 1B drew 122 players several hours later. 28 players made it through 1A and 24 survived Day 1B.

Blake Vita holds the chip lead through two flights. He bagged the Day 1A chip lead with 296,000.

A preview of Tuesday’s schedule will be published in the morning.
