Sam Soverel raised to 60,000 from middle position and Justin Young called from the hijack. Brian Yoon moved all in for 400,000 on the button and Soverel went into the tank.

After about a minute in the tank, Soverel folded and Young took a few moments before calling. It was a flip for Yoon’s tournament life with his KdJd up against Young’s 4s4h.

The river fell the 8s and Merson shoved for what appeared to be 9,000. The button, who had Merson covered, called. Merson exposed his cards first, tabling 6h4s for two pair. The button showed next and flipped over 8d4d for a better two pair. Merson surrendered the pot, politely pushed his chips toward the button, gathered his things and hit the rail.
