Event 5: Stabinski Picks Off Bluff But Vu Doubles Again

$1,100 Six Max No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 20: Blinds 4,000/8,000/1000 ante

Just when it looked like Angel Vu might be done, the former dealer stays alive again.

A few hands ago, Vu tried a bluff on a Tc4c9d10dAh board but Daren Stabinski paired the river ace and cut Vu down under 100k.

Vu then went all in with AhQc and Stabinski tried once again to end her evening with 5h5c but a board of 3cQdTc2c8d keeps Vu alive and back to around 190k.

We play on three-handed here in Event 5.

Event 5: Vu Fighting Back, Stabinski Still Leads

$1,100 Six Max No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 20: Blinds 4,000/8,000/1000 ante

The fireworks for the most part have calmed down as tension has risen with three players left.  Angel Vu made an all-in push over the top of a 40k bet from Stabinski and got the fold to keep rebuilding her stack.  Stabinski still leads with around half the chips in play, Antonio Colon around 30% and Vu the remainder.

It could be a long fight here in Event 5.

Event 5: Crackin Aces

$1,100 Six Max No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 19: Blinds 3,000/6,000/1,000 ante

Not content with just cracking the Kings of Antonio Colon, Angel Vu tried a different path just a few hands later.

Daren Stabinski raised from the button with Colon and Vu coming along to the QsQc5h flop. Colon tossed out a 20,000 bet and was called by Vu before Stabinski let his hand go. Colon fired out on the 3h turn to get another call and he repeated it with a 45,000 bet on 8s river.

This time Vu didn’t just call, she pushed all-in and it was Colon’s turn to call.

“Full house,” Vu said quietly, rolling over Qd8c for the flopped trips and rivered boat.

Colon tabled AhAd to show the pain. Vu is still “short” in relation to the table, not the blinds, but sitting behind 230,000.

Event 5: Massive Three-Way All-In

$1,100 Six Max No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 19: Blinds 3,000/6,000/1,000 ante

A game-changing three-way all-in pot ensued.   Antonio Colon moved his stack in followed by Angel Vu and then chip leader Daren Stabinski decided to call both of them and try to end the tournament.

Colon: 9c9h
Vu: QcQd
Stabinski: AcKh

The flop of Jh9s6s went Colon’s way as he flopped the set. The board ran out 2h3c giving the short stacked Colon the triple-up but Vu also stayed alive by beating Stabinski and having her stack reduced to 140k.

Two hands later, Vu three-bet shoved with Ah4s and Colon called with KhKc. The board ran out As6h5d9h7d giving Vu the double up and keeping her hopes alive to take down Event 5.

Event 6 Three Way All In

Event 5: Break Time

$1,100 Six Max No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 18: Blinds 2,500/5,000/500 ante

The players have hit another break here in Event 5 and will be taking the 500 chips out of play.  Blinds will be moving to 3,000/6,000/1,000 ante.

Daren Stabinski has now taken the chip after a couple of strong hands vs. Angel Vu and Antonio Colon is still a threat but has some work to do to get back into this Six Max championship.

Event 5: Marc Sacheli Eliminated in 4th Place ($8,570)

$1,100 Six Max No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 18: Blinds 2,500/5,000/500 ante

Angel Vu did most of the dirty work and Daren Stabinski finished it off.

After being crippled, Marc Sacheli decided to make take a stand shortly after losing a big hand to Vu but picked the wrong time to do it.

Sacheli: Kd3c
Stabinski: AdJh

The news got even worse for Sacheli as Stabinski flopped the nut straight. Sacheli could not catch up and his run in this Six Max Event 5 is over. He’ll be headed to the cage to pick his 4th place prize of $8,570.

Three remain with Angel Vu holding around half the chips in play vs. Stabinski and Antonio Colon.

Event 7: Another Checkup

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 9: Blinds 400/800/100

Now that one final table is in the bags, literally, we can take a peak at the big numbers for the third and final Monday flight for Event 7.

The $150,000 guaranteed tournament drew 436 players through 7A and 7B before pulling in another 302 for 7C.

There are 90 players still in action with a chance to join the 53 players who have already bagged up their chips to return for the final day on Wednesday.

Event 6: We’re Coming Back Tomorrow

$300 Seniors (50+) No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 19: Blinds 4,000/8,000/1000 ante

The last elimination flipped the leaderboard but not enough to get everyone to keep playing so we’re back tomorrow at 1 PM ET for the conclusion of the Seniors event. George Miro’s stranglehold on the table was broken but he will still come back out in front. Play resumes with 14:41 left in Level 19 with blinds at 4,000/8,000/1000 ante. Here are the chip counts at the end of tonight’s play with five players remaining:

George Miro – 243,000
Hyon Chun – 171,000
Paul Balzano – 164,000
Bruce MacGregor – 156,000
Lawrence Bass – 106,000

Best of luck to everyone tomorrow!
