Event 6 Day 1G: Bill Mullins Bets Off his Opponents
The flop read when Bill Mullins mulled over a decision to bet. He eventually placed out a pot-sized bet worth 1,200 from the hi-jack and both the small blind and big blind called. All three players checked the on the turn and the followed on the river. Mullins bet 2,000 and both of his opponents folded their cards. Mullins was close to 50,000 after the hand.

Registration is now closed for the Day 1G starting flight in Event 6 ($125 no-limit hold’em – $150,000 guaranteed) at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open and the field size has settled in at 325 players. That takes the total number of entries for the event up to 2,414 and the prize pool to $241,400.

Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Offers $12.5 Million in Guarantees
The Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida will award $12.5 million in guaranteed prize pools at 33 events that run from August 8-29. Everything leads up to the $5,300 no-limit hold’em championship event that starts on August 22 and features a $10 million guarantee that will crown a champion on August 28. Another marquee event on the schedule is the inaugural World Poker Tour Alpha8 $100,000 no-limit hold’em high roller event that runs on August 26 and 27.

Event 6 Day 1G: Play Begins
The Day 1G starting flight for Event 6 ($125 no-limit hold’em – $150,000 guaranteed) has begun with blinds at 25-50 and starting stacks worth 10,000. They will play 14 30-minute levels with a 15-minute break every two levels this evening and play should end just before 7 p.m.
The total field size is already 2,089 players so the prize pool us up to $208,900. There are still two starting flights that will take place on Wednesday so that number could grow to 3,000 and double the guaranteed prize pool. Here is a breakdown of the remaining schedule for today.
