RECAP
With more than $400,000 in live tournament winnings*, including a fourth-place finish worth $72,121 in a $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 8/B event at the 2009 World Series of Poker, 46-year-old Robert Campbell is no stranger to the game. Originally from California, but now living in North Miami, Campbell has a fondness for Omaha eight-or-better.

“I enjoy Omaha High/Low a lot,” said Campbell. “I play Omaha for the fun, but Hold’em for the money. I’ll be playing in a bunch of Hold’em events the rest of the series.”

Campbell topped a field of 67 players over the course of two days to claim the title. The final table saw the chip lead change many times, including a back and forth battle between the final four players, where each player spent time as the chip leader and as the short stack. In the end, Campbell prevailed for the victory.
