Hand #81  –  Randy Pfeifer raises under the gun to 225,000 with Ad10d, Joseph Couden reraises from the cutoff to 700,000 with KsQh, and Brian Phillis thinks for a while before he moves all in from the big blind for 2,375,000 with 9s9d.

Pfeifer folds, and Couden calls all in for 1,200,000 with his KsQh. Couden needs to improve to stay alive.

The board comes Ac7s6s5hJd, and Phillis wins the pot with his pocket nines to eliminate Couden in sixth place.

Ian O’Hara opened to 55,000 from UTG+1 and Ashwin Sarin three-bet to 130,000. O’Hara put in a fourth bet to 455,000 to get an all-in from Sarin for 717,000.

O’Hara quickly called at risk but holding AcAd against Sarin’s AhKs. It was a tough spot for Sarin but he paired the KdQs5d for a small sweat. O’Hara dodged the bad beat after the Qc turn and 7s river to double up.

After a fast set of elimination in the $500,000 Guarantee, they settled in for a long battle once it was three-handed.

Gavin O’Rourke was the shortest of the three and finally made a move after David Elridge opened to 250,000. He put in his 1,020,000 stack and Eldridge called with Qc4h.

O’Rourke was ahead with AhTh but Eldridge hit the KsQs3d flop. O’Rourke had a gutshot draw with his over card and paired the Td turn. He had nine outs to the river but couldn’t find one on the 2s river to go out in 3rd place for $51,100.
