Juan Martinez

Juan Martinez opened to 95,000 from the button and Chad Eveslage called in the big blind to the  Jc7c5d flop. Eveslage checked, Martinez bet 230,000 and Eveslage called. The turn came 9c and Eveslage checked again before a 245,000 bet from Martinez.

Eveslage pulled a check-raise to 600,000 and Martinez jumped out of his seat. He thought about it for a few minutes and called with 5c3c. Martinez’ flush was no good against Eveslage’s Qc2c and Martinez was drawing dead to the Qs river.

After counting down the stacks, Eveslage’s 1,105,000 was a single 5K chip bigger and Martinez was eliminated.

Tournament staff paused the clock and they are redrawing seats for the final table ten.

Chad Eveslage – 3,000,000 (75 bb)
Juan Martinez – Eliminated in 11th place ($20,001)

Hastings: 7s7d

A bad spot for Ruben’s smaller pair and he missed his miracle on the Td8d4h8h2h to exit in 12th place.

One more elimination and they will form the final table ten.

Brian Hastings – 2,020,000 (51 bb)
Brad Ruben – Eliminated in 12th place ($20,001)

Martinez: QcJd
McKoy: AsJc

McKoy was in great position for a double up and faded the Tc8c3h flop as Martinez added a gutshot draw. The 7d turn changed nothing but Martinez hit the Qs river to send the former SHRP champ out in 13th place.

Juan Martinez – 1,400,000 (47 bb)
Steven McKoy – Eliminated in 13th place ($16,299)

Genachte: AcAs
Hastings: KhKc

A tough spot for Hastings and Genachte all but locked up the hand on the AhJs4c flop. Hastings had a one-out chance after the Ks turn but he sent the double across the felt after the 9d river.

Daniel Genachte – 2,700,000 (90 bb)
Brian Hastings – 570,000 (19 bb)

Hastings: AsKs
Appel: AhTs

Appel needed a lot of help to stay in the Main Event but the all-low board ran 5c2c2d2h8s to send him out early on Day 3.

Brian Hastings – 2,500,000 (83 bb)
Jason Appel – Eliminated in 14th place ($16,299)
