Three-Way All-In PLO

In the last hand of Level 14, after a flop of Kc5c3h, there is a three-way all-in situation at Table 56. Here are their cards in descending order of chip counts:

David Pain:  AsQd5s5h  (set of fives)
Gabriel Ramos:  KdKsJs4d  (set of kings)
Michael Dreese:  Ad7c6c5d  (club flush draw, gutshot straight draw)

The turn card was the 10d, the river card was the 9h, and the set of kings held up for Ramos to win the entire pot, eliminating Dreese in 13th place and doubling thru Pain.

Gabriel Ramos  –  128,500 (32 bb)
David Pain  –  124,500  (32 bb)
Michael Dreese  –  Eliminated in 13th Place  ($745)

Michael Dreese

Michael Dreese had an incredible run of cards to start this event, as he made quads four times in the first 70 minutes, confirmed by Samuel Doss, who started the day at Dreese’s table. It’s also worth noting that Dreese made the first two final tables of this year’s Lucky Hearts Poker Open, finishing third in Event 2 ($360 Omaha 8) and eighth in Event 3 ($360 H.O.R.S.E.).

Aaron Klausman shared the details of this hand, which appears to be the largest of the tournament so far.

Shortly before the break, after a flop of Kx5x4x with two spades, chipleader Aaron Klausman bet the pot, and Hyndi Khomutetsky called.

The turn card was an offsuit 7x, and Khomutetsky got it all in for about 48,000 against Klausman.

Aaron Klausman:  As5h4h2s  (bottom two pair, spade flush draw, gutshot straight draw)
Hyndi Khomutetsky:  Kx5xXxXx  (top two pair)

The river card paired the board with a 7x, and Khomutetsky won the pot with two pair, kings and sevens, to double up into the chip lead.

After an extended period of hand-for-hand play on the Money Bubble, short stack Jon Turner folded his big blind to a raise, leaving himself with 9,100.

The next hand, action folded to Turner in the small blind, and he pot-raised to 9,000, leaving himself a single black (100) chip behind.

Joe Mobley looked at Turner’s chips from the big blind and asked, “Nine thousand, plus one chip to bluff with?”

Turner said he had a good hand, and that was “One chip to bet with.”

Mobley raised to put Turner all in, and Turner called.

Joe Mobley:  Ac10h2h2s
Jon Turner:  KsQh10c9c

The board came AdJd6hAh9d, and Mobley won the pot with trip aces to eliminate Turner in 14th place on the Money Bubble.

“I’ve bubbled two tournaments in a row. That’s fun,” said Turner in a that’s-not-really-fun voice.

Joe Mobley  –  55,000  (18 bb)
Jon Turner  –  Eliminated

The remaining 13 players are in the money, guaranteed at least $745 each. The average chip stack is about 95,000 (32 big blinds).

David Shmuel

We are back underway in the PLO game and the tournament just got a little tougher with the addition of David Shmuel. He’s always mixing it up with the four cards and has the success to prove his skill.

Shmuel has five tournament titles, all of them right here, and two of them are Pot Limit Omaha games. He picked up his second big trophy last August during SHRPO in the $360 Pot Limit Omaha tournament and he finished second in the Limit Omaha 8 game last week.
