Level 28:  50,000/75,000 with a 75,000 ante
Players Remaining:  5 of 1,102

Ryan Hogan made a rare mistake at the five-handed table. With the board reading 7h5h4s7d9s, Hector Pacheco pushed out a barrel of 100K chips. Hogan called and Pacheco tabled 8c6h for a straight.

“One million?” Hogan asked but soon found out it was a 2,000,000 bet he called.

“I really should have double checked.” Hogan said as he passed most of his stack across the table.

Soon after, Hogan was all in for his last 900,00 and Vinny Monteiro called to put him at risk.

Hogan: AhJh
Monteiro: Kh2h

Hogan was ahead and doubled when the board ran out As8s8dJcQd.

Less than an orbit later, Hogan was all in once more for 1,700,000 and Pacheco was the one trying to send him out.

Hogan: Kd7d
Pacheco: QsJh

“Hold!” Hogan asked.

Pacheco flopped an open-ended straight draw when it came TdTh9h but Hogan was safe after the Ac turn and 4s river.

Ryan Hogan – 3,600,000 (48 bb)
Vinny Monteiro – 5,250,000 (70 bb)
Hector Pacheco – 18,500,000 (247 bb)

Marc Duquette

Marc Duquette laddered up the payouts and took a shot to double up when he got his 1,200,000 in the middle against Hector Pacheco.

Pacheco: AsQd
Duquette: KhQc

Duquette was dominated by the chip leader and the Js5s2d7dAh board did not help him. He was unable to find the double he needed but collected $12,800 for his sixth-place finish.

Hector Pacheco – 15,550,000 (207 bb)
Marc Duquette – Eliminated in 6th Place ($12,800)

Paul Freedman

In a multi-way pot with the flop reading Qs9c2s, Hector Pacheco check from the small blind and Paul Freedman moved all in for 1,400,000 from the big. Ryan Hogan moved all in with a similar stack and Pacheco folded.

Hogan: KhQd
Freedman: Js5s

Hogan flopped top pair and Freedman needed to catch a spade to double. The 4d turn was no help and Freedman was eliminated after the 9h river.

Ryan Hogan – 3,800,000 (51 bb)
Paul Freedman – Eliminated in 7th Place ($9,895)

Rafael Lima

Hector Pacheco and Rafael Lima were heads up to a 7c5c4s flop. Lima checked from the big blind, Pacheco bet 600,000, Lima moved all in for 2,825,000, and Pacheco quickly called.

Pacheco: As5h
Lima: Ad9s

Lima’s bigger ace was outflopped and he could find no love on the Qs turn or 3d river to go out in eighth place.

Hector Pacheco – 13,800,000 (184 bb)
Rafael Lima – Eliminated in 8th Place ($7,305)

Bakhtin was in great shape to double and his queens held after the Kc8h2hKhKs run out.

Pacheco immediately pushed a stack of 100Ks in the middle, not enough to cover the 2,020,000 in Monteiro’s stack but he called after Monteiro was officially all in.

Monteiro: AcAs
Pacheco: 2d2c

Monteiro picked up an early monster and it held for the double after the 7h turn and 6c river.
