The first break is complete and we have our first glimpse of the big stacks in the Event Center. Two of them stood out and each had a nice run up over the first two hours.
Kevin Brewer leads the field in early action 99,000 from his starting 20,000 with 2017 WSOP Online runner-up Mark Scacewater sitting in second with 91,000.
There’s still plenty of time for others to catch him and it will take a +400K stack to take the overall lead.
Other notables include Nagui Yassa (46,200), Chris Hinchcliffe (44,600), Ory Hen (40,600), Kobi Ribak (25,000), Oniel McCalla (21,500), Howard Mash (16,800), and Jeff Kessler (10,800).

The first break is here and the packed Event Center will (mostly) empty as the Event 1 players have a chance to get some fresh air or a bite to eat.
The entry count hit 426 at the end of Level 4 and Flight E is already the biggest of the tournament so far with two and a half hours left to register or re-enter.
$360 Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry) $1,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure Level 2: 100/200 Flight E Entries: 230
We had more than 200 entries in the flight during the first level and it continues to climb as we approach the afternoon hours. More players are taking their seats and even some traveling a long distance to play.
Chris Hinchcliffe is primarily known for his grind and success a couple thousand miles away in the California poker scene. He’s making his first SHRP appearance and brings a nice pedigree. Hinchcliffe has more than $1,000,000 in earnings in a career spanning more than a decade including a WPT final table appearance.
That final table was unique because 1) it played out on a cruise ship and 2) it had a Limit Hold’em format. It only ran for three years on the World Poker Tour and Hinchcliffe’s final table read like a poker superhero lineup with Daniel Negreanu, Erik Lindgren, Barry Greenstein, Scotty Nguyen, and Steve Zolotow and John Juanda was the final table bubble.
Not too shabby.
More recently, Hinchcliffe booked a win in the LA Poker Classic Kick-Off Event for more than $140,000.
We are onto Day 3 of the 2018 Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” and cruising to the first weekend of the series. We’ve crowned two winners and played through the first four flights of the $1,000,000 Guarantee opening event.
Now we prepare for the really big numbers.
The $360 buy-in tournament drew 1,425 entries through the first four flights on Wednesday and Thursday and we expect it to really move up now.
Each player will start with a 20,000 stack and all opening flights run 30-minute levels that switch to 40 on Day 2. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30pm and they will play out 14 full levels before the survivors advance to Day 2 on Sunday.
Flight E will move up closer to the big $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool and it will build throughout the weekend.

The player in cutoff limped in for 600 and Ronnie Bardah moved all in on the button for 14,600. The big blind called and the cutoff folded.
“I hope you have two eights,” said Bardah before the big blind showed . “That’s the nuts.”
Bardah tabled and was in bad shape to stay alive. The board ran out and the big blind made Broadway to eliminate Bardah. Bardah still has time to fire another bullet in the event if he chooses to.
