Event 11: Double for Cressman

$2,200 Six-Max No Limit Hold’em (Freeze-out)
Level 13: 800/1,600/200 Ante

It was Glen Cressman’s time to push the action higher, this time on Table 1, trying to double his stack. He moved all-in for 33,700 after Rayan Chamas opened to 4,000.

Chamas took his time but finally called behind with AcJh against AsQc. It was a good AhQd3h flop for Cressman and the 9d had Chamas drawing dead and drop to 145,000.

Event 11: Sliding Chips

$2,200 Six-Max No Limit Hold’em (Freeze-out)
Level 13: 800/1,600/200 Ante

Otto Palacio, Mengchao Yo, and Anthony Zinno are the second half lineup on Table 2 and they just took turns sliding chips to the right.

Palacio was the first one to get a needed double when he moved all-in for 28,300 with 9c9d after a Jonathan Duhamel open. Yu moved in over the top with AsQc to isolate before Palacio survived the KsJd3c4c8s board.

The next hand saw the short(er) stacked Yu move in against Zinno’s big blind. It was another race with Yu’s 2s2d against As5h and the pair held once again when it rolled JcJh6hKc7h.

Event 11: Big Names, Big Money

$2,200 Six-Max No Limit Hold’em (Freeze-out)
Level 13: 800/1,600/200 Ante

Jason Mercier captured the Event 10 title yesterday after dominating the final table and today bring back poker royalty for Day 2 of the $2,200 6-Max Event 11.

There are 13 players returning today with combined career earnings  of nearly $32 million, two WSOP Main Event champions, four WSOP Circuit rings represented, and three WPT titles (courtesy of Anthony Zinno alone).

Rayan Chamas leads the way but he has pros Jonathan Duhamel, Ryan Riess, Anthony Zinno, Zo Karim, Joe Kuether, and Barry Hutter trying to chase him down.

Players are unbagging their chips and we’ll be underway shortly.

Event 11: Bubble Burst, Wong Eliminated

$2,200 Six-Max No Limit Hold’em (Freeze-out)
Level 12: 600/1,200/200 Ante

With much of the attention on the short stacks of Will Failla and Otto Palacios, the bubble ended up being burst by Jerry Wong propelling the rest of the field into the money.

Wong was all in with AsQh against Anthony Zinno’s JsJh.  The flop of 9h2d8d left Wong needing to pair or getting running straight cards but after the board ran out Ks4d, Wong’s night was over and a bubble that ate up most of Level 12 was over.

15 players remain with only a few minutes left to play this evening.

Event 11: Zero Hour

$2,200 Six-Max No Limit Hold’em (Freeze-out)
Level 12: 600/1,200/200 Ante

Event 11 has reached its final hour of play for Day 1.  As we go through the last level, 17 players are left with fifteen making the money.  Both Chad Eveslage and Will Failla have survived all-ins and look to try to reach the min cash of $4,500.

To make matters more interesting Jared Jaffee, Aaron Massey and their crew have shown up to rail some friends and have a drink or two.  We can expect a distraction or two along the way as we close in on the money bubble and the end of tonight’s play.

Event 11: Lushing Falls

$2,200 Six-Max No Limit Hold’em (Freeze-out)
Level 11: 500/1,000/100 Ante

Scott Lushing has come up a few spots short of the money here in Event 11.

Lushing pushed his stack in pre-flop and was called by Ami Alibay and Javier Gomez.  After a Td4s2h flop, Alibay check and Gomez bet 8,000 getting Alibay out of the pot.  Lushing turned over 3s3c but Gomez had hit the flop with his JsTc for top pair.  Lushing got a sweat with the 5c for the straight draw but just missed with the 7h coming on the river.

17 players remain as we close in on the money bubble at 15 players.
