Aleks Dimitrov moved all in for 11,500 in early position, and Jason Koon put him at risk from the cutoff.

Dimitrov: 7s7d
Koon: QsQh

Koon rooted for Dimitrov’s sweat, and he got one on the turn of the Kd9c3d9d board. The river was the blank 8s, though, and Koon’s queens held to dismiss Dimitrov.

Jason Koon – 85,000 (71 bb)
Aleks Dimitrov – Eliminated

$1,000,000 Guaranteed | Payouts
Level 10: 500/1,000 with a 100 ante
Players Remaining: 171 of 395

Lexy Gavin

Lexy Gavin opened to 2,500 from under the gun, a player in middle position, and Loni Harwood called from the big blind.

The flop came Ad7s2d and it checked around. The 3d came on the turn, Harwood checked, and Gavin bet 4,500. Harwood called.

The Qd hit the river, Harwood checked, and Gavin bet 10,500. Harwood quickly folded.

Lexy Gavin  –  54,000
Loni Harwood  –  22,000

Event 12: Michael Laake Doubles Up, Never Giving Them Back

$2,650 No Limit Hold’em (Freeze-Out)
$1,000,000 Guaranteed | Payouts
Level 10: 500/1,000 with a 100 ante
Players Remaining: 171 of 395

Michael Laake

The player on the button opened to 2,500, and Michael Laake practically beat him into the pot, three-bet shoving for 9,600 in the small blind. When it folded back around, the button grabbed the remainder, which he could easily afford.

“Whoa, don’t you want to think about it?” Laake stopped him. “That’s 7,100 chips you’ll never get back.” The button chuckled and called.

Button: Ks9h
Laake: Ah6d

“Honest hands,” Jason Koon provided color from the other side of the table.

The board ran out TsTh8h8s7h, and Laake’s kicker played to earn him a double-up.

“You’ll never get it back,” he reminded the button as he stacked the pot. Their table is one of the next couple to break, so it’s likely he’s right, at least in the short term.

Michael Laake – 21,000 (21 bb)

Event 12: Curt Kolhberg versus Jack Duong

Curt Kohlberg

Curt Kohlberg opened to 1,800 from late position and Jack Duong called from the button. The flop came Kd9s8d, Kohlberg bet 2,100 and Duong called.

The Ad came on the turn, Kohlberg bet 3,500 and Duong called. Both players checked the Ah on the river. Kohlberg turned over QdJd for the winning flush and Duong mucked.

Curt Kohlberg  –  60,000  (60 bb)
Jack Duong  –  20,000  (20 bb)

Event 12: Nick Yunis vs. the World

$2,650 No Limit Hold’em (Freeze-Out)
$1,000,000 Guaranteed | Payouts
Level 9: 400/800 with a 100 ante
Players Remaining: 189 of 395

Nick Yunis

Nick Yunis opened with a raise to 1,800 in middle position, and Nick Yunis three-bet shoved for 18,400 next door. Yunis took a soak in the tank, chatting with his neighbor as he did.

Most of their conversation was too quiet to overhear; the two were mostly smirking at each other, really. “Most people would be in there already, I think,” Yunis said at one point. Eventually, he folded, saying something about pocket jacks.

“I had nothing,” Soverel mocked as he pushed his cards toward the muck.

“Ace-king high?” Yunis mused.

From two seats over, Jake Schindler pointed at Soverel’s hole cards laying face-down and shot him a hopeful eye.

Soverel went ahead and flipped up his AcTc.

The next hand, Yunis opened to 1,800 again, and a player behind him three-bet shoved for 5,800. Yunis rolled his eyes and sighed for a moment, long enough for Schindler and Soverel to giggle at each other over the delay. Yunis did eventually call.

The at-risk player had Ad6s, but it was no match for Yunis’ 7d9d. The board ran out JdTd5s7c9c, and Yunis got the knockout with two pair.

Nick Yunis – 45,000 (56 bb)
Jake Schindler – 37,000 (46 bb)
Sam Soverel – 24,000 (30 bb)

Event 12: Abdelouahed Bouanani Doubles Through Ian O’Hara

$2,650 No Limit Hold’em (Freeze-Out)
$1,000,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 8: 300/600 with a 75 ante
Entries: 366

Abdelouahed Bouanani opened the pot with a raise in middle position, Ian O’Hara three-bet next to act, and Bouanani four-bet shoved for 12,800 total. O’Hara quickly called, having his opponent at risk and dominated.

Bouanani: AsQh
O’Hara: AcKs

The flop was Ah7c5s, not changing anything. Bouanani was just standing from his chair as the Qc landed on the turn, and he dropped right back down into his seat. The river was the 9s, and Bouanani doubled up with aces up.

O’Hara is right back where he started after that loss.

Abdelouahed Bouanani – 27,700
Ian O’Hara – 20,000
