Championship Day 2: River Bursts Bubble On Arieh

$3,500 Championship No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 20: 5,000/10,000/1,000 Ante

A brutal river card breaks the bubble here in our Championship Event and the victim was Josh Arieh.

Arieh min-raised pre-flop and was called by Amir Babakahni.  After a flop of Ac4s3c, Arieh checked and Babakhani bet 25,000 and was called.  After a turn of 6c, Arieh fired the rest of his 66,000 in chips and was called.  After the other hands in the room were completed, Arieh turned over AsJs for top pair and Babakhani flipped up 2d3d for a pair and straight draw.

The river was not kind to Arieh as the 5d came off giving Babakhani the straight and sending Arieh out of the room on the bubble.  The room erupted as everyone is guaranteed a min-cash of $6,753.
