Up on table 1, a hand developed with four players taking a flop of AdQd9d.  David ‘Coldstone’ Inselberg was in the small blind and fired 3k.

Two players opted out, but he got a call from the button.  When the 2h hit the turn, David tossed a 5k chip out.  After some thought, the button folded and David pulled the pot.

He’s up to about 50k.

Earlier today we spotted 2013 WSOP Main Event champ Ryan Riess sit alongside 1996 WSOP champ Huck Seed. 2001 WSOP world champ Carlos Mortensen is also in today’s field. 2009 WSOP World Champ Joe Cada played Day 1A and will be back for Day 2 on Sunday. Well, now we also spotted poker royalty as 1998 WSOP Main Event & 2008 WSOP $50K H.O.R.S.E. Champion Scotty “The Prince of Poker” Nguyen is playing today’s Day 1B.

Scotty is known for his effervescent personality and catchphrases. Seated across the table from Scotty is recent WPT champion Chris Moorman. Should be a fun table to sit at…that’s right baby.

Vladislav Mezheritsky is all-in from under the gun, and gets 2 callers from the blinds including Amanda Musumeci in the small blind. Both blinds check down a board of 6c5h8s9cJc. Mezheritsky flips over Jh10s and scoops the pot to triple up with a pair of rivered Jacks.

Event 17: Boatman loves the river

$5,300 Buy-In Championship No Limit Hold’em $10 Million Guaranteed (Re-Entry)
Day 1B Level 8: 250/500/ 75 ante

On a flop showing 8sQc2s, action is checked to the player in seat 3. He bets out 1700 from the cutoff position. Arthur Boatman is in the big blind, and makes the call. 2d falls on the turn and Boatman check-calls the cutoff’s bet of 3K. The river is the Ks, and brings a 3rd spade on the board to complete a possible flush draw. Boatman then fires out 6K. The player in the cutoff tanks for a while before deciding to muck his cards.

Earlier this week, Boatman final tabled the SHRPO Event 13 $350 Buy-In Big Stack Six-Max NLH in 8th place. He’s sitting on around 55K.
