Joel Harwood couldn’t quite make it a daily double for the family today.

After taking a big hit a few short hands ago, Harwood found himself all-in against John Reese and Jeff Bunims.  After Harwood was all-in on the turn, Reese bet out on the river with the board showing getting Bunims out of the hand.  Reese then turned over for the nut flush edging out the for Harwood.

After a great day for the Harwood family, Joel Harwood finishes in 3rd place winning $2,687.

Alban Torres had been scratching and clawing all night to try to keeps his hopes alive for the Event 2 title but his quest was ended in spectacular fashion.

Torres found himself all-in preflop showing against Jeff Bunims holding .  The fate of Torres was quickly sealed as the flop came out giving Bunims quads and a stranglehold on the hand.

Alban Torres finishes in 4th place for $1,792.

Christian Ivens had been short-stacked for a very long time and kept finding ways to hang on but this time he got caught in the middle of the biggest stacks in the tournament.

After Jeff Bunims and John Reese capped a pot on a board, the hit on the river and the cards were turned up showing Bunims had hit a king-high straight but Reese had the ace-high straight.  Ivens could only turn over a ten-high straight knocking him out of the tournament and moving most of Jeff Bunims’s stack to the other side of the table.

Christian Ivens finishes in 5th place for $1,493.

Jeff Bunims continues to take chances and watch it pay off and Ryan Leto was his next victim.

Leto was all-in with against Bunims with .  The board ran out giving Bunims another big win and sending Leto to the payout window.

Ryan Leto finishes in 6th place for $1,194.

Level 18: 5,000/10,000

After losing most of his stack in a previous four-way pot, Geoff Mikulka found himself trying to hang on against chip leader Jeff Bunims and Alban Torres.

After the board ran out , the hands were turned up showing Mikulka the bad news.

Bunims had for a straight and Torres had for a wheel. Mikulka could only muster ending his run here in Event 2.

Geoff Mikulka finishes in 7th place for $995.

Robert Campbell’s hopes of another mixed game title will have to wait another day.

Campbell found himself all-in against Jeff Bumins trying to hold on.

Neither player got much help as the board ran out . Bunims’s pair of 2’s turned out to be good enough to finish the job.

Pho pushed his last 6,000 chips in the middle on a board and was raised by Jeff Bunims.  Robert Campbell folded and Pho saw after the cards were turned up that he was actually in the lead.

But Pho’s luck ran out as the hit the river giving Bunims the straight and the elimination.

Chico Pho finishes in 9th place for $598.

A quick elimination hit on our final table as Phillippe Goureau is the first man down. Goureau falls in 10th place picking up $435 for his efforts today.

The bubble has burst here in Event 2.  Robert Campbell faced off with Jordan Meltzer.  On a board of , Campbell fired out a bet that would put Meltzer all-in.  Meltzer took some time with his last 3,000 chips and decided to make the call.

Campbell showed for the pair of aces and the nut low.  Meltzer could only turn over his while throwing it into the muck putting the rest of the field into the money.

Shortly afterward, Marc Sacheli busted in 12th place putting us one away from our final table.
