Brandon Navarette

Little action for an hour and then two big hands at the same time.

Over on Table 27, TK Miles opened to action to 60,000 and Ethan Blaunder three-bet to 1350,000. Miles called to see a QxTx4x flop and the chips went in the middle. Blaunder flopped top two with QxTx but Miles was better with a flopped set of fours. They held and Blaunder was eliminated in 18th place.

On 14, Brandon Navarette got his stack all in against Jermaine “Lion” Gerlins with big slick versus jacks and he could not improve to go out in 17th place.

TK Miles – 1,975,000 (79 bb)
Jermaine “Lion” Gerlins – 2,960,000 (118 bb)

17th: Brand Navarette – $2,370
18th: Ethan Blaunder – $2,370

John Gorsuch

There was little action over the first 30 minutes of the new level except for a nice pot by John Gorsuch. He doubled up with JhJs against Andre Bryant to move up near two million.

With 48 big blinds, there’s little pressure to get out of line.

John Gorsuch – 1,835,000 (73 bb)
Andre Bryan – 620,000 (25 bb)

Ricardo Eyzaguirre was still out front with 3,320,000 with Andre Bryan in second with 2,440,000.

Blinds are up to 15,000/25,000 with a 25,000 ante and the average stack is 1,200,000 (48 bb).

Brandon Navarette

After a preflop raising war, Timothy Smith was all in and at risk for 420,000 against Brandon Navarette.

Smith: KdKc
Navarette: Ah2h

Smith needed his kings to hold to double. The QhJhTd missed Navarette’s ace but gave him a lot of outs with a heart draw and gutshot draw. The flush got there on the 6h turn and Smith was drawing dead to the Kh river.

Brandon Navarette – 1,148,000 (57 bb)

Recent results:

19th: Timothy Smith – $2,370
20th: Howard Feingold – $2,370

Jermaine “Lion” Gerlin’s stack is guarded

Level 21 came to and the blinds were increased to 10,000/20,000 with a 20,000 ante and the average stack is 1,075,000 (54 bb).

Jermaine “Lion” Gerlin is really making this interesting with his run. He was a Day 2 entry and began his day with only ten big blinds, now sitting with a bunch of chips.

21st: Cabriel Sefchovich Kantorovich – $2,000
22nd: Rebecca Dellagloria – $2,000
23rd: Eric Kolodny – $2,000

Tournament staff paused the clock and they redraw seats at the last three tables.

Ducarmel Beaubien

As usual with these tournaments, action gets a little faster after the dinner break. Full bellies and fresh minds.

We lost eight players in the first half-hour back to really deepen the stacks and set up an interesting evening.

The lastest elimination saw Frederick Goldberg and Ducarmel Beaubien get nearly 500K each in the middle preflop.

Beaubien: 8s8c
Goldberg: AdJh

Beaubien was ahead with his eights but Goldberg jumped out front on the AhKs5d flop. The paired ace was only good for one more card because the dealer put the two-out 8d on the turn and Goldberg was gone after the 7s river.

That left the field only one elimination from a full three-table redraw.

26th: Frederick Goldberg – $1,715
27th: Fred Dabus – $1,715
28th: Jeffrey Palermo – $1,715
29th: Raminder Singh – $1,715
30th: Brian Barros – $1,715
31st: Jordan Flaschner – $1,715
32nd: Joann Coliny – $1,715
33rd: Lee Farris – $1,485

Alain Candales Falcon was our 36th place finisher, a nice run as one our Day 2 buy-ins with his ten big blinds to start.

34th: Peter Fellow – $1,485
35th: Scott Baumstein – $1,485
36th: Alain Candales Falcon – $1,485

Andre Bryan

Even with this deeper stack structure, sometimes things just happen. Jorge Gomez recently doubled through Steven Karp but the good times did not lost long.

Karp went out soon after sending the double to Gomez and then Gomez tangled with Andre Bryan.

As told by Bryan, he was heads up with Gomez when his Ax6x flopped two pair against Gomez’s AxQx. A lot of chips went in the middle, Bryan’s hand held up, and Gomez was a shocking exit while Bryan stacked huge.

“Things are going ok,” Bryan said lowkey.

Andre Bryan – 2,085,000 (139 bb)

37th: Jorge Gomez – $1,485
38th: Steven Karp – $1,485
39th: Loni Hui – $1,485
