Brian Barros

The entry count clicked up to 140 and continue to climb as more alternates are seated into the tournament. A $200,000 prize pool is on the horizon and should be hit before too long.

Brian Barros is one of the big early stacks in the field, sitting nicely with around 150,000 five levels into the day. Barros ran deep in our WPT Lucky Heard Poker Open Championship in January and won a Pinktober Poker Open tournament in Tampa in October.

Marc Duquette

Flight B got back underway after the first break and they will play through three more levels before the next one.

We found two more players on a unique freeroll. Marc Duquette finished sixth out of 1,102 in Event 1 and Paul Freedman banked a seventh-place finish. Both earned a seat in Event 3 by making that final table and back in the room today.

Blinds are up and another 10 alternates were seats to push the prize pool over $180,000 with a ton of time. It will top $200,000 with little effort after the first break and keep right on going until registration closes at the start of Day 2 tomorrow at noon.

SHRP regular Andre Bryan is back in the Poker Room after a nice run this weekend. He rolled deep into the 1,102-entry field for Event 1, cashed in 25th place for $1,680, and now trying to do even better in Event 3.

Monterio took home $43,630 for his second-place finish and he also picked up a freeroll into today’s field. In addition to the prize pool, every player at the Event 1 final table won a seat into Event 3 and he is trying to spin that seat up to another big finish.
