After a flop of 4s4c3d, Alex Foxen bet 35,000 from UTG+1, and Kirk Steele called from the button.

The turn card was the 7h, Foxen checked, Steele bet 65,000, and Foxen thought for a while before he called.

The river card was the 8s, Foxen checked, Steele bet 85,000, and Foxen thought for a while before he called. Steele showed KhQd for king high, but Foxen turned over AsJc to win the pot with ace high.

Foxen has taken a definitive lead at this point with more than 1.4 million, when no other player has a million.

As a reminder, they are on the Money Bubble, with seven players left but only six earning at least $113,490 each.

Kaverman quickly called all in for 245,000 with JhJc, and Steele turned over AcQc. Kaverman needed his jacks to hold to stay alive.

The board came 6d6c3h8dAs, and Steele paired his ace on the river to win the pot and eliminate Kaverman in eighth place.

Levels have increased to 90 minutes here at the final table, and with two short stacks busting last night on the final table bubble, the action has slowed, and there hadn’t been a lot of chip movement for the first half hour or so.

Until Jason Mercier moved all in under the gun for 180,000, and Kirk Steele moved all in over the top from UTG+1 for 1,005,000. Everyone else folded.

Mercier turned over 8s8h, and needed his hand to hold to stay alive against Steele’s AhKd.

The board came Jd4h2sQhQc — Steele turned a gutshot straight draw, but improved no further. Mercier won the pot with his pocket eights to double up in chips.

The $50,000 Super High Roller drew 39 entries and eight of them return today to play down to our champion.

Alex Foxen, newlywed and high roller, leads the return but it’s a tough final table as one would expect with this caliber of players. Florida legend Jason Mercier has the shortest stack but he can never be counted out.

There’s still some work to get done before anyone gets paid. Only six will make the money with $113,490 for a min-cash and nearly $700K up top for the winner.

Cards go back in the air at 2 pm and we will have all the action from beginning to end.
