As they were approaching the end of the day, which occurs with about 15 minutes remaining in level 15, a couple of big stacks began to emerge.
Barbaro Diaz (Cuba) was the clear chip leader before the blinds went up for the final time. He was up to ~300k.
Michael Merisier (Plantation, FL) was stacking about 230k. He owns a home-based business and is a regular player here at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood.

Flight F players are taking their first break of the night.
Lots of ‘frequent flyers’ are turning out for this last-chance flight in Event 5. Already spotted in the field are Bob ‘Uncle Krunk’ Panitch, Brett Bader, Candace Riley, Richard Hope, and Raminder Singh.

Players are dropping fast as the end of the night looms. They’re gambling it up to try to accumulate some chips to bag or bust out and try again in Flight F.

Angel Vu has been the one to watch since this series began, since she is the current points leader on the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year leaderboard. She started the series with 1120 points and through the first four events has picked up 310 more, for a total of 1430.
WSOP bracelet winner Marsha Wolak is hot on her heels, currently occupying 3rd place on the POY leaderboard.
Not to be overlooked is Nancy Birnbaum, one of the most decorated women on the WSOP Circuit with 3 gold rings.
All three of these ladies are plying their trade on the felt in Flight E tonight.

Registration closed for Flight E at the end of level 9. There were unofficially 439 entries in this flight, surpassing all previous flights and bringing the event total to 1,665.
Some of the many familiar faces still in this Flight are Woodrow Pass, Nancy Birnbaum, Steele Sutter, Angel Vu, Joe Gibbons, Marsha Wolak, Guillermo Hamilton, and Mark Shulla.
Players are on break and there are about 117 remaining in this flight.

The sixth and final starting fight of Event 5 is underway.
Players began with 12,000 chips and the first 9 levels are 20 minutes long. Levels 10 through 15 are 30 minutes long, but they will stop with about 15 minutes remaining in level 15, which all previous flights have done.
Players may late register and/or re-enter this event until the start of level 10 (about 10:20pm).
