Level 14: Blinds 1,200/2,400/400 ante

We are one level away from ending Flight F and Day 1 of Event 9.

Some new contenders have emerged including Joe Gibbons, Everett Gilmore and a possible challenger for the flight’s chip lead – Rita Keldani.

Keldani has been on a massive heater over the past few levels and has built an impressive stack.  Will she be the leader for this flight?  We’ll find out in about 20 minutes.

Event 9: Final Break

Level 12: Blinds 800/1600/200 ante

We’ve hit the last break here in Flight F.  We have 10 tables still in play so we’ll see if everyone puts on the breaks to make a run at the title or the mad dash for chips goes into overdrive.

Chips are being counted down now and we’ll have an update on the flight’s chip leaders shortly.

Event 9: Three Levels To Go

Level 12: Blinds 800/1600/200 ante

Play has now advanced to Level 12.  99 players remain here in Flight F.  Everyone will get one more break before closing it out with ten minutes to go in Level 14.  The dealers will also be counting up the chips on the break so we should have a good idea who’ll be in position to punch their tickets to tomorrow’s final day in Event 9.

Event 9: Table Of Death

Level 11: Blinds 600/1200/200 ante

We’re nearing the end of Level 11 and if any of the players feel like gambling or are desparate for some chips, head on over to Table 57.

By the table’s estimates, around 15-17% of the tournament’s chips are gathered up among the nine players here.  By the end of the night, there’s a very good chance one of the players in this group may be listed as Flight F’s chip leader.

Level 10: Blinds 500/1000/100 ante

Two more players have made a move here in Event 9’s Flight F.

Nissin Vaknin has taken command of Table 65 and has jumped up to the top of this group of players.  Another player quietly building a strong stack is Event 7 winner Kenneth Norman.

Whether its superstition or he just likes it, Norman is sporting the same red hoodie he wore while taking down his title earlier in this series.

Vaknin and Norman are both hoping to turn tonight’s beginning into the top prize of this $500,000 guaranteed Event 9.

Overall, the tournament drew 1,250 entries easily shattering the $500,000 guarantee.  234 players have advanced so far from the other five flights so we should see a number right around 300 players returning for a shot at the Event 9 title tomorrow.

Event 9: Action!

Level 8: Blinds 300/600/75 ante

The stars come out to shine here at Seminole Hard Rock-Hollywood.

After an a reportedly outstanding performance by “America’s Got Talent” champion at Hard Rock Live, another Hollywood personality is in the house playing this event.

Miami’s own Randall Emmett is credited with producing 87 films including “Lone Survivor”, “End of Watch” the 2008 “Rambo” film, “2 Guns”, “Double Identity” and “Wonderland”.

Emmett may have felt like he was running around a Hollywood set as he busted out right at the close of Level 8 on a river card. He ended up running around SHR just like in one of his action films in a quest to get back into the tournament before registration closed.

We’ll see if Emmett can order a re-write on the script tonight and join the field on Day 2 of Event 9.

A couple of other players as starting to put some distance between themselves and the field as we close in on the Level 8 break.  Rafael Reis has gotten himself near the top of the standings for Flight F along with Jason Bartholomew.

The action has been brisk on this level as expected and we stand with around a minute left before the players step away.

Event 9: Critical Level

$570 Deeper Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 8: Blinds 300/600/75 ante

We have now hit a crucial level for the players as Level 8 has arrived.  Registration closes for the last time in Event 9 after this level ends so players will now have their first big decision to make.  Do they try to make a quick push to either go big or go back to registration and start over or play it out and see if their current stack will be good enough to get to tomorrow?

The noise in the room is already rising along with the tensions here in Flight F.  Registrtation closes at the start of Level 9.
