Before the break, Adam Santos was dragging another pot, chipping up to about 50k — double the starting stack of 25k.  “I am Megalodon,” he says.  Megalodon was a prehistoric shark, one of the largest and most powerful  predators, that fed on whales.

The Brazilian native who now lives in Florida is another regular at Seminole Hard Rock Tampa and his making his Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ’N’ Roll” Poker Open debut today.  He’s hoping to take out some whales in this event!

End of Level 4:  Blinds 100/200

Four levels are done and it is time for the first break of the day.

A couple of familiar faces are making their Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ’N’ Roll” Poker Open debuts today.  Retired firefighter Greg McNealy and Herbert Woodbery are frequent competitors on the felt at the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa.  Coincidentally, they landed on the same patch of felt today.  Herbert Tweeted a photo of Greg:

Over on table 42 sits a tough bunch of poker players.  Nigel Murray has five titles won right here at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood and over $433,000 in career earning.

On his left is WSOP Ladies Champion Marsha Wolak, and at the other end of the table sits three-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Nancy Birnbaum.

It may look like they’re having a good time, but trust me, they battling for every chip.

Kathy Fleck decided to flex her muscles in a pot with the wrong guy.

On the river with the board showing Ts7c6cKdAc she fired a bet.  On the other end of the table sat John Spadevecchia, owner of a WSOP bracelet and over $2.6 million in career earnings.

After a little thought and despite the straight and flush possibilities, John called and got the ‘insta-muck’ from Kathy.  He rolled over KsJd for a pair of Kings to take the pot, taking his stack to about 27k.

Kathy finished 8th last night in Event 10, the Pot Limit Omaha H/L event, picking up $588.

Event 9: Three Pair

$570 Deeper Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 14: Blinds 1,200/2,400/400

It was one of those hands that people insist never happen live.  But it did.

Juan Mubarak pushed his stack all-in and got called by Michael Moed.  Then Brett Bader got in and called both of them and had them covered.

Mubarak: AcAh
Moed: JhJc
Bader: KhKd

Before the flop, Bader boldly called out the king was coming and he was right. The flop of 7cKs9d hit followed by the 4h eliminating Moed and the a 9s ended it. Bader picked up the monster pot and his oppenents both headed out the door for tonight’s play.
