Proving that Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is a premier entertainment destination, “America’s Got Talent” winner Terry Fator brought his show here all the way from Las Vegas. The multi-talented ventriloquist, comedian, celebrity impressionist and singer, appeared Saturday night in the 5,500-seat indoor arena.
Terry Fator burst onto the national scene after winning AGT in 2007, by combining his talents of ventriloquism and singing. He does more than 100 impressions as a ventriloquist and is especially known for making his characters sing in famous celebrity voices.
Fator mixes several puppets into each show. Walter T. Airdale, his country music puppet and the one he has been using the longest often impersonates country music legend Garth Brooks. Maynard Thompkins, an Elvis impersonating puppet, doesn’t know any Elvis songs, but keeps the audience laughing. One of Fator’s most famous puppets, Monte Carlo, is the resident Vegas lounge singer who often impersonates icons such as Tony Bennett. Fator is constantly creating new characters with his puppets, leaving his show fresh and funny year after year.
Saturday night, he opened and closed the show with Winston, the impersonating turtle, who won the AGT title and a million dollars for him and has been a regular in his act ever since. The show ran nearly two hours and concluded with a standing ovation from the crowd for Fator and his menagerie.
Terry Fator is just an example of the great entertainment you will find at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Coming up over the next few months are acts as varied as Andrea Bocelli and Alice Cooper.
