Benjamin Sidiqui leads the way as cards are freshly in the air for Day 2 of the $1M Escalator Series $250/$200K. Sidiqui, who hails from Sunrise, emerged from the Flight I pack to take the overall chip lead with a stack of 377,000. He’s the pace setter and holds the advantage over the likes of Joseph Villatico, Joshua Palmer and David Shmuel. Together, these four players make up the top four spots and they’re the only participants starting Day 2 with stacks above 300,000.

Headlining the restart is none other than last week’s $150/$100K champion Eric Rivkin. Just seven days ago, Rivkin bested 1,250 players in the $1M Escalator Series opener to earn his fifth major tournament victory and better than $33,000 . He’s back at it here in Week 2 and begins the restart in the top 20.

Reigning Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year, Ory Hen, is also in the thick of it. For the second consecutive week he’s within shouting distance of the chip leaders to start the day. Last week Hen began 8th/129 on Day 2, while this week he’s 15th/115. He parlayed his stack into a 13th-place finish good for $1,180 roughly seven days ago and hopes to improve on that today.
Coincidentally, chip leader Sidiqui, Rivkin and Hen all share a table to start Day 2.
