Event 14: Ten Survive, Rodriguez Leads With Hutter And Stout Still Alive

$570 Eight Handed No Limit Hold’em (Single Re-Entry)
Level 18: 2,500/5,000/500 Ante

As slow as the field got after the bubble, it turned the other direction as player after player quickly hit the rail late in the night leaving ten grinders still alive for the Event 14 title.

Giovanni Rodriguez finished the evening with 395,000 chips and will carry over a 100,000 chip lead into tomorrow’s Day 2.  The lead would have been even more massive had Barry Hutter not cleaned house with two eliminations right before the end of the night.  With the big late run, Hutter bagged 293,000 and sits in second. Top pro Matt Stout will also be a part of this final table bagging 109,000.

With this being an eight-handed tournament, the players will start off five-handed tomorrow before they hit the final table.  Here are the seat assignments and chip counts for the remaining ten players:

Table 7:
Seat 1 – Yigal Hen – 84,000
Seat 3 – Joe Calderon – 109,000
Seat 4 – Ira Schwartz – 173,000
Seat 5 – Giovanni Rodriguez – 395,000
Seat 6 – Matt Stout – 109,000

Table 8:
Seat 1 – John Brody – 65,000
Seat 2 – Joe Ebelhar – 208,000
Seat 6 – Barry Hutter – 293,000
Seat 7 – Pasquale Caiazza – 114,000
Seat 8 – Herbert Woodbery – 156,000

Best of luck to everyone returning for tomorrow’s Day 2 here in Event 14!
